Expected a Lloyd win but not this dominant. Beechwood’s shots weren’t falling. Lloyd was the aggressor and didn’t step off the gas.

Thankfully Newport has 7 other assistant coaches. Snapp’s sideline antics were surely a distraction last night.

Ryle out hustled the Cats the first half and even had them flustered (Snapp included) most of the 3rd quarter as well. Good teams find a way to win and that’s exactly what they did. Survive and advance.

The 16th region refs sure let them play very physical game. Big second half for Kinney makes all the difference in this one.

Dixie refused to come out of the zone hence why the Juggs held the ball. Can't say I blame Coach Walker. The 3's weren't falling for Walker, Bresser or Collins so it wasn't like they were going to shoot them out of it.

I think it has to go to Coach Snapp. He has the young cats playing much older and really turning it around from a tumultuous season last year.

Cov Cath has really been battle tested the last couple of weeks . 2 overtime wins, the close North Laurel and Lloyd game on back to back nights.

If Lloyd can get a consistent 3rd scorer I think they will make some noise in the region. You know what you get with Israel and Walker. Sebastian really played well tonight and Elijah Collins can sure shoot it.

Neal, Vogelpohl and Davis all announced playing college basketball after last season but have yet to hear if that came to fruition. Monroe was also a contributor on last years team. They lost a lot but with having 2 d1 players they should be winning more. Coach Walker will have them ready to make some noise in March. It’s exciting that the 9th region is competitive this year and has more parity than normal.

Walker is a sophomore with a high drive and a strong work ethic to be special. He has multiple big 10 offers already and by the time he is a senior he will be the biggest recruit in 9th region history.
