Hollywood23 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 The 16th region refs sure let them play very physical game. Big second half for Kinney makes all the difference in this one. 2
Breds82 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 It’s always entertaining to see our reactions when officials from other regions call our games. 2
DevilMayCare Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Fortunately for Newport, this is not a beauty contest - 27% from the field and 12% from three. Kinney nearly made as many FTs as Ryle attempted. 1
LouHSJunkie Posted March 5, 2024 Author Posted March 5, 2024 You're not picking spouses this time a year you'll take a ugly win over a pretty loss all day long. I feel Newport may have got their clunker out of way and will be hard to beat. 1
Voice of Reason Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Ugly. Very ugly. The last couple minutes were a lesson in how to lose a game by both teams. 2

LouHSJunkie Posted March 5, 2024 Author Posted March 5, 2024 Newport shot 32 freethrows Ryle Shot 14. Newport pressed Ryle played Zone. Smh. Make it make sense. Really sad to be honest. 1

Hollywood23 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Ryle out hustled the Cats the first half and even had them flustered (Snapp included) most of the 3rd quarter as well. Good teams find a way to win and that’s exactly what they did. Survive and advance.

Breds82 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Snapp over reacting to calls is nothing new. He looked like a total buffoon during the Highlands game Friday night on a couple calls. One where the official had to call him back to the front of the bench. Newport is very good and can overcome games where they have poor shooting. 1
