Butler (1-1) travels downtown for this inner-city matchup to play Central (0-2). Butler is coming off a shutout win in blow out fashion over Doss 36 to 0. Central is coming off of their second straight game where they have kind of taken it on the chin as the lost to Belfry 28 to 0. Central has played a very tough schedule to start the season but they have yet to put up any points on the board in two games being outscored 70 to 0 over the first 2 weeks. I think this is the game that Central need to get back on track a little bit and I see them beating the Bears in this one. What is everyone's thoughts?

Atherton (2-0) travels to Mercer County (0-2) this Friday night. Atherton is coming off of their second straight blow out win 44-0 over Southern for their second straight shutout. Atherton has outscored their opponents 92 to 0 over the first two weeks. Mercer County is off to a not-so-great start and has been handled pretty easily in both their games so far. Atherton should name the score in this one and I will predict their third straight shutout.

The Atherton Ravens (1-0) travel across town to take on the Southern Trojans (1-0). Both these teams are coming off big wins as Atherton defeated Central Hardin 48-0 and Southern defeated Doss 40 -6. Atherton was led by senior running back DuZye Grundy with 170 yard and 2 TDS and Senior WR Adonis Lister with 100 yards receiving and 2 TDS. The Ravens put up almost 400 total yards on offense while shutting out Central Hardin. Southern was very impressive in their opener beating a Doss team they had lost to the year before. The Trojans were lead by a trio of junior running backs in Elijah Simpson with 82 yards and a Td, Don Leonard 62 yards and a Td, and Kelvin Whiteside with 45 yards and a TD. WR Isaiah Snead had 70 yards receiving and 2 TDS. I believe Atherton is the much better team here and will win big however I am very impressed with what Southern was able to do in their first game but I feel this is a huge step up for them in competition. What does everyone think?

Central schedule does not get any easier this week after taking it on the chin from Manual they have to travel to Belfry. I think Belfry wins big here.

There are tons of college coaches in attendance for this Caverna and Lakota West game. High level basketball here two very good teams. Caverna leads 20 to 13 with 6 minutes to go in half.
