The Atherton Ravens (1-0) travel across town to take on the Southern Trojans (1-0).

Both these teams are coming off big wins as Atherton defeated Central Hardin 48-0 and Southern defeated Doss 40 -6.

Atherton was led by senior running back DuZye Grundy with 170 yard and 2 TDS and Senior WR Adonis Lister with 100 yards receiving and 2 TDS.

The Ravens put up almost 400 total yards on offense while shutting out Central Hardin.

Southern was very impressive in their opener beating a Doss team they had lost to the year before.

The Trojans were lead by a trio of junior running backs in Elijah Simpson with 82 yards and a Td, Don Leonard 62 yards and a Td, and Kelvin Whiteside with 45 yards and a TD.

WR Isaiah Snead had 70 yards receiving and 2 TDS.

I believe Atherton is the much better team here and will win big however I am very impressed with what Southern was able to do in their first game but I feel this is a huge step up for them in competition.

What does everyone think?

Southern was surprisingly good first game but stepping way up in class from Doss. Atherton may have the best defense in 5A and I think they shut out the Trojans.
