Yeah the penalties are the only thing that worry me for PT. Their emotions get the best of them at times. I really think Paducah wins this game in a high scoring match up. Paducah needs to run the ball more in this game.

People don’t understand how good PT is. Mayfield will not face a team in 2A that’s better than PT the rest of the playoffs. The speed, power, and athleticism is nothing a 2A school can show mayfield. PT prepared mayfield for this playoff run. No disrespect to BW or OCath but you guys don’t understand how special that PT team is. They will beat Boyle at state. I’m telling you. That defensive line is ridiculous and carter is head and shoulders above a lot of defensive backs in KY.

I think PT is very underrated. I understand the other side of the state doesn’t see the western teams enough to get a feel for how good these teams are. PT is a legit contender. They are well coached. They arguably have the best strength coach on this side of the state. I wish mayfield coach would use their strength coach. They are a different animal. That number 5 ranking is a joke. Whoever is up next will see first hand. PT will beat Cov Cath handily when that match up happens. They don’t have a weakness on either side of the ball.

For sure PT. They didn’t have a weakness on the field from what I’ve seen. Speed all over the place. Their defensive line might be one of the best in KY. They have Big guys on the defensive line that can chase you with the speed they have. PT will be in the state championship this year. I just wish mayfield played them in the last game of the season. It would definitely help prepare them for the better teams in the playoffs.

The biggest question is this. Who can make the most mistakes and still win the game? You’ve got two offensive powerhouses. Both teams have good qbs, backs, and receivers. This is probably going to be the most watched game Friday night.

I’ve watched GC play. They’re tough but not disciplined enough to win a game against a team of this caliber. If they drew a second round match up against Owensboro I would say GC by two TDs but this game will be over before you know it.

I’m confused also. Usually, the third round is the regional championship. I don’t know how Mayfield playing LCA or BW in the third round qualifies for a regional championship matchup.

Why is Murray listed?

It’s going to be hard getting past regionals with no brajon.

As a Mayfield fan I hate to say it but It’s looking more and more like an LCA vs Beechwood state championship.

I got bored and decided to go to that game. Pretty decent game. Graves made a ton of mistakes, including an unsportsmanlike penalty from the coach that led to an Owensboro TD. I think graves will be better toward the end of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if they meet in the playoffs and GC pulls out the win this time. Good luck to both teams going forward.

I’d definitely say mayfield has the WR advantage. I didn’t realize until the second quarter of the graves game, how deep the receiving core is. It seemed like they were platooning the receivers every few plays. I may be mistaken, but one drive during the second quarter, I noticed two sophomores and freshman at receiver. The game was well in reach and the coaching staff trusted those young guys. That says something about the young talent mayfield has at the WR position. I’m a mayfield guy but seeing how hard jack James and 76 xsavier cleary work in the gym while I’m there, makes me root for them individually. They’re really good strong talented athletes.

Mayfield fans have been hearing MC jr for the past 2 weeks. My rebuttal to that is Milton Wright, his junior year in the playoffs. D1 player that was a tough cover for mayfield the year prior. Mayfield fans know how he was covered that playoff game. CAL coaching staff is way better than PT and they couldn’t figure that defense out that whole game or how to get Milton involved.

You know I thought the same thing. I also think that offensive line hasn’t hit their stride yet. Mekhi looked more versatile with the offense than juju. I think this game he’ll have a breakout game. I understand PT lineman is special but I think he has a breakout game.
