Besides DC @ CovCath, what has Terry Brown done to be considered?

Let's be honest, if almost every coach in NKY/ KY don't apply they are crazy, right? Career job with a chance at state? How many jobs in the state can say that? In NKY, NCC, Beechwood, Highlands?, CovCath? Should coaches not look to find better jobs/ compete at the highest level possible.

IMO they need to go younger and not older with someone who can retire soon.

They can make noise every year in the playoffs. Sister district isn’t very strong.

Weird situation and one of the toughest jobs with that district.

Just got confirmation Wynn lives in Taylor Mill and has kids in the youth organization. Like you said though, could be a great hire, but looking at what Wynn has done as an HC crazy to pass on him.

Some find this hire to be a quality one but I like to look back further. He comes from Florida where he has no connection to the community or the area other than the bengals. You then add in his two head coaching stops where he has a losing record. Also the fact he was the head coach of one program and took a leave just to be an assistant the next year at another school screams red flag to me. I don’t know the candidates but from what I’ve followed from the search on here it sounded like they had better qualified coaches in the area. Either he knows someone in the district or they saw a Florida coach and thought it has to be better because it’s Florida. We will see but not a fan. And if the rumors of the mason county coach applying are true then I’m puzzled. Just took a look at his record at mason and to me that would have been the slam dunk hire.

I doubt the biggest task. Beat Greenup County, Tates Creek, and Boyd County. A big game, but no way the best opponent.

They've known about the issue and even resealed the bleachers above their football locker room several years ago. Newport also has a double nickel tax. If money is an issue then they should lower the pay of the superintendent and administrators. I heard when he retired that Middleton made 250,000 and the Principal now Mike Hunter makes over 120,000.

What does his staff look like? Having never called a play, I hope he can find a solid group to work with.

I have never understood the fascination with schools hiring college coaches, especially ones without a winning background. The work day will change significantly with teaching or what ever the job may be compared to coaching football 24/7.

Find the right person and this could be a good job.

You may be thinking about Nick Behymer who was an assistant last year but quit half way through the year.
