Well only one school is on Shelbyville Rd!!! Granted X got rolled by Ryle last season, but it’s a new one now and I’m looking forward and not backwards! can't wait for games to begin.

Not even close THE TWO best teams in the state of KY reside on Shelbyville Rd and Poplar Level Rd in Louisville. Others have a ways to go to get to those two.

I'm gonna take WEB in this one. I’ve heard that HC has a smallish group and I think WEB can overpower them.

True That has always been the X way of doing things. In MOST but not all cases, kids play either offense or defense. Keeps the most people happy!

X is going to surprise folks (as much as a school like StX can) Coach Wallace swan song and a very motivated group to work with. A little bird told me that they are going to be playing a few more of their dynamic guys more plays a game.

I guess things fell apart at the negotiation table? Oh well, X will have to try and scrape by with what they have!

I assume you are speaking about College? The same can be said for Prep Schools. Guys that have been used to playing 30 of 32 minutes a game may find it difficult to stomach only playing only 20 or God forbid they have to come off the bench. That Prep School is going to get the best possible players, no matter what they tell you about playing time when recruiting you. Didn’t Kentucky have a high profile kid got to Monteverde last year and he rarely got off the bench? The kid from Washington County whose name escapes me?

VoR spot on here. It’s truly sad what is happening. I just don’t get how you can do that to your friends and teammates that you’ve worked and sweated with. Both Male and Fairdale will be good but that’s a raw deal those teams just got handed.

Yes it is Fairdale was on the list of teams that could make it to Rupp out of the 6th region. While they still have considerable talent, this loss makes it tougher.

Prep Schools now are a LOT different than the Oak Hills and such that we are used to. Oak Hill and the like were boarding schools that actually made you go to class and were there to improve your academic standing, along with basketball. These new “Prep schools” have the kids working on their craft (basketball) 5 hours plus a day through skill work, practices and weight training. The school work is online and can be completed anytime and there’s not much of it. Bottom line is many kids are sold on “this is the way to the NBA” when all it does is hurt them when they don’t make it. ***this is a general statement and not meant to be about Cole Edelin.

And there it is. Heard this last week and put it on 7th region discussion. I don’t understand the wanting and feel like you need this state to….what? Get better? Male has a great staff and team. Garner interest? Already has multiple offers and commitment to WKU. Just a really weird time in HS basketball. Best of Luck

I don’t know what the plan is for the 11th but the 6th region baseball had a new format this year. Each regular season district winner hosted a pod of four teams consisting of a 2,3,4 of different districts. The 4 pod winners went on to Patterson Stadium to play out the semis and finals. Very interesting concept but it takes away a District Tournament title from teams.

I am not going to spoil a kids announcement.

11th is Lexington area including Frankfort and Richmond. 5th is Elizabethtown area including parts deeper into Western Ky.

Also hearing rumblings of a HUGE jump to prep school for one of the better players in the 7th!!! Things are happening in the east end of Louisville.

Shelby has had issues keeping coaches. Is there something in the water in Shelbyville?

Well since MONEY is the answer to almost any question asked, you would certainly think so!

As an assistant, sometimes you learn what to do from the HC and sometimes you learn what NOT to do!!! My guess is he got a lot of both during his apprenticeship.

If something is LAW, it’s for everyone correct? I am close with administrators and teachers at multiple Private Schools. They will be following this Law. They are already working on the wording of waivers they want signed for students/parents. Also, the lawyer in the family thinks this will be in the Courts in no time.

How so? The world changed then and not for the better. Also this DOES apply to Private School teachers/administrators/coaches.
