No disrespect to KCD but if Bardstown couldn’t do anything against them they probably wouldn’t against Woodford Co. either.

I think this is the one Apollo has been waiting for since last year we should get to see what they are made of.

I think both of these teams could be down from last year but I don’t think Bell Co. will be down as much as Campbellsville so give me Bell 28-7.

What reasoning do you have for this prediction?

I’m going with Russell Co. mainly because they won last year. I haven’t seen anything else that would make me think Adair has turned a corner.

Probably the second most balanced class.

I think a couple of these might be based off last year’s performance but hey I understand rank them until they prove they don’t deserve it.

I have to admit I’m a little surprised about Christian Co. being in these rankings.

He will probably have big numbers because those receivers are fast and talented the only thing that’s going to hurt him stat wise is the schedule is so weak I’m afraid he’s going to be sitting a lot of second halves.

I seen him throwing and he’s very talented he has a quick release and plenty of arm the ball gets on the receivers fast if they struggled on defense against Logan I would say it would’ve had to be against the run before they should have excellent defensive backs which up front has been where they struggled the last couple years but I thought they would be improved there this year. I would say when the Friday night lights come on they will be locked in and a lot more stingy on defense.

Will this be the year JH stops this losing streak against Hancock? I think so give me the Bulldogs in this one.

Highlands Trinity Scott Co. St. Xavier Murray 45 points

Barren Co. starts this season off two impressive scrimmages as they seemed to dominate Logan Co. and Meade Co. up front. They lost very little last year losing only 6 seniors. They have second year starting quarterback Briggs Harris back and he is very quick and an adequate passer. Clay Co. (TN) plays in Tennessee’s smallest public school division and have had several good seasons in a row. They lost to Glasgow in this bowl game last year and then rolled off 11 straight victories before losing in the second round of the playoffs. Will Clay Co. be able to stand up to Barren’s size and numbers or will this game get ugly early.

Coach Arnett and the Scotties are coming into the season off a 11-1 season that included only the seventh undefeated regular season in school history. Unfortunately they were upset in the second round by Union Co. so they are hoping for a deep playoff run this season. They lost 14 seniors off that team but have a lot of good skill players back and a quarterback who moved in from Florida who has several D1 scholarship offers. Southwestern comes in fresh off their first losing season since 2013. They have a new coach after their previous coach moved on to Warren East. They used two quarterbacks a lot last season and both were jrs. So we will have to see if the new coach uses the same strategy or picks one guy and sticks with him. They also have their top two rushers back from last season as they were both underclassmen. This game will probably be streamed on the Scottie Channel on YouTube because that’s how they have been doing it the last few years. I will add a link when one becomes available.

I have no dog in this fight but I do know that Barren dominated both sides of the line against Logan and last time I checked the quarterback hasn’t nothing to do with that.

I look for Elizabethtown to get back on top of this old rivalry. It’s seems like they have improved over the last couple years and Bardstown has went backwards. Good luck to both teams.

Neither of these teams looked particularly good in the last scrimmage however I think SW’s game was against a far better opponent. I made a lot of people mad last year when I said SW will not win a championship in 6A but I still believe that and especially this year because Owensboro is not in the same ballpark as Trinity. I know everyone is going to say it was just a scrimmage but it’s been my experience that scrimmages are good indicators for a team’s season.

Should be a Somerset blowout correct.

I expect Barren to be the toughest team on Glasgow’s schedule this year even tougher than Franklin Simpson.

I would think this would be a promising sign for BG. Even a down Male team is probably a solid team so to beat them by double digits in a half of football should give those young kids a shot in the arm and hopefully lead to a lot more Bg type of season.

I really think this Barren team is going to surprise some teams this year. They are big up front and a very well coached team. They are not the fastest team ever but they do have some speed I think they will probably play close against about everyone on the schedule.

Well unless Ohio Co. has made an incredible one year turnaround WE is almost certain to start out the season 1-0. Which is always a good thing it gets excitement going in the team school and community. It seems if you start out 0-1 it kind of sucks some of the life out of a team unless it was a really good team and you played them close.
