  1. I'll be attending tonight, I just hope I don't leave at halftime.
  2. This is one of those situations where the refs did their job by following the rule and now KHSAA should use their minds to do right by the kids. Yes, they should not have ran on the field and rules are rules, but this is a prime example of why teams should be able to appeal. Now KHSAA should overturn the ejection. This seems simple.
  3. Oline is young, (4 sophomores) but decent size. They seem to be getting better each week. Its hard to say how far they have came, because the schedule is pretty weak throughout the district games. Owensboro game was rough, but I don't think we played to our potential at all. Defensively we are quick up front. Similar to offense not huge, but decent size. Much more experience on that side and I would say very athletic for a D-Line. We have shown flashes of what we could be. We played with Bullit East for a quarter and a half, we played with Mayfield for almost 3 quarters, and we gave Paducah a scare. This is before Paducah completely fell apart. I'm not saying in anyway do we beat those teams or had a realistic chance of winning against Mayfield or Bullit, but at times we held our own. We just have to do that for four quarters. Might be my blue glasses I’m looking through, but I believe these boys can.
  4. That is accurate. He hasn't played since that game and was the workhorse. Him playing is not injury related. Personal issues. He’s a good kid, but he's a kid, and feel we should leave it at that. Graves has developed a 1-2 punch with Katzman and Goodman running the ball. Goodman plays wr and then will move inside to run it some. The offense almost had to restart when it lost him. A lot of adversity for our team this year, but they have handled it well and I hope it pays off this week.
  5. We are the underdog at home. Our Sophomores went through a very tough schedule early. I think Owensboro had them shell shocked from the get go. If we come out and play like we can and Gregory has a good game delivering the ball, then we can pull this upset.
  6. Dang. Can’t imagine being a head coach. Comes with the territory, but still.
  7. I hope nobody gets hurt. That’s a win for both teams in this game. I think everything else is decided already.
  8. Seems like they need to completely overhaul their system if that is the case. I understand traveling once in the playoffs, but don't make it cost thousands of dollars in travel every week for kids to play high school football.
  9. Correct. So multiply by 2 for how much our kids, coaches, and parents have to travel for road games. I simply no longer go to any away district game except for Owensboro, which is usually the deciding game for the District.
  10. Graves has to have everyone beat in travel for district games Muhlenberg County - 90 miles Ohio County - 110 miles Owensboro - 110 miles Grayson County - 140 miles Breckenridge County - 140 miles (county roads for a fourth of the trip)
  11. McCracken building their school didn't help the Bombers any either. If you are an exceptional athlete at Ballard, it would be hard not to drive 15 more minutes to attend McCracken.
  12. I imagine the Eagles are setting pretty much where they expected to be at this point. Very young team that has gotten better as the season has went on. Against Mayfield the defense held on as long as possible, but offense gave Mayfield too many chances by all the 3 and outs. They had Paducah on the ropes and could have stolen the game, but just too many missed opportunities. They clocked McCracken which is now significant after seeing their score with South Warren. Bullet East was the best team on the schedule and it showed. Since then they have added wins through district play. Many new faces have started showing up on this Eagles offense. The Offense will be the deciding factor on if the Eagles can play with Owensboro, can the offense put together drives and keep the defense off the field? The defense is actually pretty dang good and my Eagles are known to win a game or two they aren’t suppose to each year. They haven’t yet this year. Hopefully, that changes this week.
  13. These are pretty pointless until week 10. I do think by then there is enough data to give us a decent picture.
  14. Dang. That is not good. First Jax and now Starks? Hopefully, a sprained ankle or something. I saw in another thread Jax is coming back? Did he not tear his Acl?
  15. Just curious how many players, coaches, and parents from Bullitt East have been west of LBL? I love the competition, but I really hope we find someone a little closer to play next year. Safe travels to BE.
  16. After a high scoring affair last year, the Chargers will make the long journey to the Jackson Purchase Region to face the Eagles at Jay F. Buckley Field. The Chargers brought a ton back while Graves lost almost everything offensively. The Eagles are 1-2 and are starting to find their groove offensively, while their defense has been pretty solid this year. Chargers are 1-1 and to be honest, I know very little about their team this year. I would imagine they have the edge after missing a FG to win it last year and bringing most of their guys back. Thoughts?
  17. Hopefully, you guys can get healthy over the next few games. I just looked at the schedule and the next 5 opponents have a combined record of 1-17. This is good news in terms of getting healthy, but might absolutely kill the rpi for that home game in the final four.
  18. I just hope McCracken can keep the clock from running in the first half. Far West KY football is better when McCracken is good.
  19. It’s a long story and I only have second hand knowledge. Local millionaire didn’t get his way at McCracken so he took kid and like 30 other kids and certain coaches to Paducah when they were in middle school. Buys turf field, indoor facility, uniforms, etc. Theres more to the story I’m sure, but that’s the gist of what I have gathered.
  20. If this is a shot at the coach I have to disagree. This is the second game I have watched them play. Poor boys play hard, but very limited athletically.
