Nick Kemp has stepped away citing personal reasons and Lance Gregory has been named interim coach for the 2023 season. 

I wish Coach Kemp well, I thought he was a great fit there.

Am I correct in remembering that Coach Kemp came in as an interim head coach at Graves initially, also? Maybe 3 or 4 years ago?

Yes that is accurate. This would have been his fourth season, and I really thought was doing a great job.  I’m out of town on a business trip so I’m kind of out of the loop, but did hear this news early this morning. 
 

Gregory being the interim is HUGE for the program. Hard to find a coach of that caliber this point into the season. His son will also serve as QB. Very tough schedule this year. 3 of first 4 opponents are Mayfield, Paducah and Owensboro. Definitely had to have a replacement like this.

Sorry to hear that ... from my dealings ... Coach Kemp is a good dude and a good Coach.
