  1. I was wrong!!! That was by me. I’ll own it. With number 6 running the ball. Wouldn’t be a ball game!
  2. Owensboro was missing their rb and Graves was missing their passing attack. I feel like next time these teams meet the scoreboard will look very different. Both teams possibly in the 40s.
  3. So basically, Beechwood is coming to Mayfield the week before state?
  4. Now I could say something else about some of their fans. Haha! But not Coach Morris.
  5. Anyone with the drive summary? I mean a couple of pick 6s, a punt return, and plays similar like that is kind of out of the coaches hands. I guess you could tell your kid fair catch the punt, but a pick from a defensive player, do you tell them to slide or not make the pick? Does Ballard have a punter? Was every drive starting in Ballards territory? I love a good, let’s dog Mayfield forum, but again let’s see the drive summary before we make judgement. Joe is a class act.
  6. What can a coach do when every run is literally going to the house? If I were the opposing team and you start kneeling it, I think that would be worse.
  7. If Graves beats Owensboro, then I believe Graves would still host rd 3 game, then play Woodford in semis thus matching up FD and SW in semis.
  8. I agree. You are not running at Mayfield Lbs like that. If you are one dimensional they, Mayfield, beat you. However, I also don’t think weather like that would benefit I Mayfield. It would be a very low scoring game, but I think Mayfield is better.
  9. Made too many mistakes. What an incredible game. However, all I will ever remember is Owensboro running to the locker room taunting and flipping the bird to our guys, and refusing to shake hands. Number 6 for O is a load. The rain hurt us. Took away our passing game which has been a huge strength for us.
  10. Feel like its going to be a looooong night with delays and rain.
  11. We haven’t had a game streamed all year. But I have no idea.
  12. No chance we play this game anywhere but home. I could see it getting moved, but no chance we will play it on a neutral field.
  13. I’m not convinced this helps us. You all are thinking of the standard Graves County teams. Lest you guys forget Graves is second in 5A in passing yards. But yes, McKee in the mud is probably a huge strength.
  14. HA! Not at all. I'm more upset that it will hurt the size of the crowd and the atmosphere for a game both these teams deserve to have. Like I said, I don't know if the rain hurts or helps us.
  15. Maybe they’ll move it to Saturday? I would imagine the crowd would be even bigger on an off night. hopefully not too late for them to decide that or if both teams would even want that.
  16. Looks like rain is going to be a factor Friday night. I can’t decide who this helps and who it hurts. Hate that it might take away from the atmosphere of what should be a great game.
  17. I’m just here for Mayfield to chime in. Don’t. Overlook. Mayfield. However, does appear they don’t be 2nd in RPI.
  18. I see sports and academics one in the same. So if someone does it for “just sports,” then they did it for part of their education. If we don’t agree with this then you’d have to argue to just privatize sports.
  19. Thoughts. Kids are held back every single year between K-8. KHSAA passed a law a couple of years ago that allows them to play without sitting out. Nobody was crying then. Was it good for the kids who stayed back? An extra year at home being a kid, an extra year playing high school sports, an extra year in K-12 educational setting, the kid is probably getting more playing time and more exposure, so I mean for that student, then yes absolutely. What if it was only done for sports? I would hope everyone on this forum knows that sports might be the best educational tool that ever existed. Sports are an education! The best education I ever got was on the basketball court. Does this mean others will suffer because that kid who stayed back is going to benefit? Yes, because that’s how society works. Is it that kids fault for staying back? No. Every student had the opportunity. When opportunity comes knocking… you take it. Some people watch it others respond. Don’t be mad you didn’t respond. Btw our team only had I think 3 stay back in High School grades.
  20. I know Graves and Speed isn’t two words you may have ever heard together before. This year Graves has speed. We have 3 guys, maybe 4 counting Goatley, that can score anywhere on the field. Speed hasn’t been the issue for this team. Turnovers and Special Teams is what cost them the Mayfield game.
