  1. Good point. There are more than 200 teams that did not make it to Rupp, and 16 that did.
  2. Cole Vincent from Muhlenberg County returned for a 5th year as well. Dez Lindsey at Male and Will Vassar at Jeffersontown are the other ones I'm aware of.
  3. Would they dare allow a private school into the 8th Region?!
  4. Male and Jeffersontown will both start "5th-years" in the Sweet 16 - seniors from last year who opted to return for another year due to Covid-related restrictions last year. Do any other teams in the Sweet 16 feature 5th-year impact players? Was this just allowed in Jefferson County?
  5. Some schools are going to struggle no matter how the districts are aligned! 🤷🏼‍♂️
  6. The crowd would cheer on Male (and a Louisville commit) over GRC?!
  7. I think South Oldham would welcome this realignment! Collins and South would advance to the region tournament almost every year. It is hard to rationalize why there is currently one 3-team district, one 4-team district, one 5-team district and one 6-team district!
  8. Another year in which the 29th District runner-up proceeds to win the 8th Region Tournament. It seems like that has happened a lot.
  9. Trying to watch the end of the Butler - DeSales game. Butler is up by about ten with a minute or so left, but NFHS network is malfunctioning . . . again!
  10. My understanding is that Smithers won the senior-only award, and Moore won the overall award . . . correct? Smithers is now eligible for Mr. Basketball; Moore would have to wait until he's a senior.
  11. South Oldham and Fern Creek could be dangerous come tournament time. DeSales is .500 right now, but will also be a tough out in their district.
  12. Seems like St X and Collins always play very competitive games.
  13. It will be interesting to see what the crowd is like tonight for this rivalry game. Monday night crowds do not usually equal Friday night crowds. The Friday night Oldham County vs. South Oldham and South Oldham vs. North Oldham environments are usually some of the best in the state . . . St. X vs. Trinity and Ballard vs. Male level!
  14. Upland, Indiana. NAIA. Home of the original “Silent Night” basketball game.
  15. South Oldham (8-10) travels to North Oldham (13-7) Friday night in a big district / rivalry game. A South win sends the teams into a 3-way tie with Oldham County. North punches a ticket to the region tournament with a win. South Oldham features experienced seniors Ben Michel (Taylor University commit) and Cole Davis (Lindsey Wilson commit). North Oldham has a strong class of juniors led by Dallas Roberts, Jack Scales and Ian Higdon. Who wins? http://www.pegasussportsky.com
  16. Two teams I thought may be higher in the rankings by this time in the season are Evangel and DeSales. Are both dealing with injuries?
  17. 7-8 South Oldham hosts 11-5 Oldham County tonight at South Oldham. Can South pull the upset? Is everyone at full strength? In a 3-team district, winner has a great shot of advancing to Henry County.
  18. Both Trinity and St X have potential “trap games” earlier in the week . . . Highlands Latin and Brown! 😉
