Not sure what happened last night but I am amazed how these conversations quickly go to Mayer who hasnt played a second of hoops at all this season. CCH has 3 bigs in Thelen, Fleek, and Greene that have each put up 20 points and 10 boards more than once this season. Its the guard play that hurts them. Disken is the only guard contributing consistently. When Davin comes back, they will need him to find his shot. MM will help relieve the bigs underneath but is not going to put up big points and change the Colonels offense too much.

This was a great game and atmosphere. The epitome of Kentucky High School Basketball. Jolly had a great game for CC but WV just has too many weapons and plays better D than most the teams CC has seen. Miles and Pardee both played amazing.

I dont see anyone trying to say Beechwood is better but I think some have obviously interpreted it that way. I was simply saying Beechwood won the rebound battle, especially on offense and that I was surprised by that because of Taj's usual presence. I actually think Newport is better and has way more talent.

KnowItAll, please try to pay attention - I am not talking about offensive rebounds. I am talking about "Offensive Rebounds that lead to second chance points." This is not a stat that is kept at the high school level but I was there and Beechwood was converting them more than Newport. And this is what amazed me because Taj usually dominates the boards and the inside but he only had 7 rebounds.

I think what was not said, and maybe no one has the actual stats, is that Beechwood had significantly more offensive rebounds that led to second chance points. They easily had 10 offensive rebounds that led to 20 points which is 40% of their total.

And the 3rd place ranking of Newport or Beechwood debate was answered tonight... Move Newport up to 3!

Beechwood outplayed, outrebounded, and even had the refs in their camp and still lost this one. The Tigers easily had 10+ offensive rebounds giving them lots of second chance points. The refs called 2 pathetic fouls on Newport's McGuire keeping him on the bench more than he should have been. Beiger from Beechwood had a tremendous game and was lights out from 3. Unfortunately he missed two floaters when the game was tied in the final 30 seconds, the last of which gave Newport 8 seconds which was way too much time to get up the court for the win. Gotta give credit to the Wildcats. While they continue to show no offensive scheme, they kept their composure in a tough environment and scored 10 unanswered in the final 3 minutes.

Where do you find such stats? I see the Stat Leaders on KHSAA but that's only the top 50 and you have apparently gone much deeper than that. I have seen all of these kids play and feel Harding is the better of the group followed by Cody, Sisson, Draud, then Veith.

Pouncey was clearly in the Cooper camp ALL NIGHT. It was bad how one sided the calls were from his whistle. I spoke to fans and parents from both camps tonight and they all agreed. And that's unfortunate! It was a great game and great environment!

It's a matter of bandwidth. You can easily stream audio up using wi-fi but for quality video up you should have a wired ethernet connection. Video files are much larger and when you are using a video camera you typically need the wired connection unlike using a phone with Facebook live. It sounds like CCH has wifi but no cable run currently.

This isnt possible because Walton is not in the NKAC so the NKY coaches dont rank them. As for the other rankings, Cooper should be ahead of Cov Cath as they have been in the 9th Region for over 3 weeks. However, their game this week will dictate who is better at this point in time.

Green is the 5th player to lead CCH in scoring this season. I love their diversity. If opponents are able to take one or two players out of the game, another one steps up!
