Covington Catholic 54 Conner 36

Nice game by Cov Cath. I thought Conner did a nice job hanging in there. Cov Cath’s physicality gave the smaller Cougars some problems. A couple of charge calls took some momentum away from Conner. The charge against Hicks I thought was correct, charges against Ginn and Skiles the defender looked to be under the rim.

Not sure who led Cov Cath in scoring, I’m assuming Diskin, he had a nice game. Ginn scored 19 for Conner. Jalen Scott would have been a big help, not sure if he changes the game but probably a little closer.

Spencer Couzins had a nice game again. Young Sophomore is gaining confidence playing more varsity minutes.

Cov Cath pulled away in the end making feee throws. Conner missed some shots and had turnovers at the end.

Neil Green finished with 16 for the Colonels. Disken had 14, and Jalen Bowles had 8.

Cov Cath was 18-21 from the charity stripe and did indeed pull away with some good free throw shooting at the end.

Conner's leading scorer didn't play, so that didn't do the Cougars any favors.

Kind of an odd first half, very fast-paced but not a lot of scoring, then the Colonels settled in for the second half. At one point late in the third/early in the fourth, Conner had cut it to six, but never got closer than that.

Green is the 5th player to lead CCH in scoring this season.

I love their diversity. If opponents are able to take one or two players out of the game, another one steps up!

Are Cov Cath home games no longer being streamed live on Facebook? I remember last year they streamed most of their home games.
