I couldnt agree more. The 2 guard is a big weakness for CCH. Makes you wonder if CCH coaches regret squeezing out Brannen and Deere. Or if they could use Bishop who was let go to make room for kids who have not produced.

I agree that BW was the better team and they won fair and square. However, I also believe that Pouncey should NOT be officiating games where he has a conflict of interest!

I agree. Mayer was a beast in the first 12 minutes. But CCH coaches didnt recognize when he was tired. His Q4 was sloppy. Fleek played an incredible first 4 minutes of Q3 then the coaches pulled him and he didnt come back in until under 3 mins in the game. Finally, CCH down 3 with 15 secs left, get a timeout to design a play, dont sub any 3 pt shooters in, and send the ball to Mayer on the post who had just missed a layup. Bizarre player management by CCH!

POUNCEY'D This particular Pouncey definitely coached 9th Region 17U AAU players this year ... I witnessed it at multiple venues!

POUNCEY'D!!!!!!!!!!! SIxer, read my post, I never once said Pouncey cost CCH the game. And in another post I actually pointed out some things CCH did wrong. And I 100% agree with your comments here! All I am saying is Pouncey should NOT be officiating games in which he has a conflict of interest! This is the 4th time I have seen him be obviously biased in favor of his AAU players this year! The fouls called on CCH in the 3rd and 4th were ridiculous but that is part of the game and CCH has to own the loss. However POUNCEY should excuse himself from these games!

Mayer was strong early in the first half but ran out of gas and got sloppy in late Q2. Then he was a big liability in Q4 with turnovers, fouls, and missed layups. He should never be bringing the ball up the court. And whats with CCH's final play when down 3? They go for a 2 and pray for a foul. Poor coaching decision to not put 3 point shooters in...

I dont think anyone, other than you, was stunned by Dixie going to the finals last year. Cooper and CCH were on the same side of the bracket. Dixie's side was a cake walk. They had to beat Ryle and Holy Cross who were both coming apart at the seams. Dixie was a much better team last year and easily number 3 or 4 in the region.

Highlands v Newport could easily happen in the 9th finals. Sure there are favorites, but there are 6 teams that can win the 9th!

I believe there are still games being played tonight, but I will play along and even add Cooper v Connor and SHHS v Lloyd. I honestly believe any team can win any of these games. At least 3 of them were losing at half time last night! Below are what I think will be the best games in order, and the winner: 1. WV avenges a loss to SK. 2. Newport beats HHS 3. CCH takes revenge on BW 4. Campbell beats Scott in a close one 5. Cooper beats Connor but I feel there is upset potential here. 6. SHHS vs Lloyd - pick em

There is no doubt officials have bias towards certain teams or coaches - they are human and I am not sure how to overcome this. What can be overcome at the time of scheduling is obvious bias. There is one ref in the 9th who also coaches high achool kids in AAU and he ALWAYS is biased in their favor. An AAU coach should NEVER be able to referee his team members in a high school game. And if one is scheduled for him, he should refuse the job!

Having a hard time following who is winning. You are giving scores but very little info about who is up.

Highlands would be crazy to take him back just for 3 months! I think that is just a rumor. He will graduate as a Train then ride the tracks to WVU to be what I assume will be a glorified ball boy.
