Well, it was not the 20 point blowout some thought it would be. Conner played well, just ran out of gas in the 4th.

 

Cooper went 3-4 deep with their bench, Conner 2. Congratulations to Cooper, this game was a joy to watch. Brenden Ginn led the Cougars with I believe 17. Ty Houston had a good game for Cooper, MVP receiptant.

I’m sorry but Cooper does not look like they did early on.

It was a game of runs. I think the largest lead was 8, never got to double digits as most predicted. Conner just needed someone to step up in the 4th. Ginn carried Conner in the 3rd scoring 9 I believe. The fatigue set in for Conner and a couple of timely turnovers hurt them.

 

I thought the 3’s by Walters were huge. The one in the corner to start the 4th with all the subs in for Cooper was a big shot. Cooper made their free throws like they usually do to seal the game.

Sounds like it was a close game!

Great night of high school basketball!. Conner is well coached and they came to play. Enjoyed watching the Conner band re playing and dancing. Big group of Conner faithful showed up.

Conner May be a sleeper and Cooper is not playing to the level that they started with BUT both certainly have the potential to get to the finals of the region. Not a lot of focus these two right now with so much going on with BW, CCH, Newport and HHS. The draw will be extremely interesting.

This is now the second time I've seen this on this blog. What exactly are people meaning? And, why?

Cooper is 10-2 in their last 12, with only losses to 2 really nice teams in Campbell County and Scott for a combined 9 points. What am I missing here?

Really hard to explain. Just not playing with the same legs or enthusiasm. Look tired not focused. Heck I don’t no just different.

I should think this will change with the Regional Tournament coming up. Sully and Cooper have won a few district tournaments, and have won many, many games over the years in the regular season. Maybe its the whole, "Golden State Warrior" syndrome, in waiting for the real tournament to begin.
