  1. It's much more than even those 8. They have several Freshman, possibly 6, from last year that are repeating as well. Apparently Coach Rash had reccommended that many of these kids take advantage of the new rule. I think it will pay off for him with a lot of W's the next few years!
  2. I’ve not seen the best team in the state talk, but there has been some talk of top 5-10 in all classes talk. Possibly was in the thread about which team Would score on Beechwood first.
  3. Cam being back for a 5th year will likely be enough to push Beechwood over the top. CCH is probably better, like most years, at the majority of position groups, however, QB is still the most important position on the field at all levels and will have the biggest impact. Beechwood has a really good shot at winning, I think however without Cam, CCH would likely win pretty comfortably.
  4. I would say that CCH has played the toughest or near toughest schedule of any 5A team, so I wouldn't put to much into the 2-2 record. I think #4 is probabaly the right spot at this point. If CCH can get a consistent passing game going, could trend even higher.
  5. I think the 5th year qb will be a little too much for CCH and their first year starter.
  6. I believe the tigers have had 8-10 football players reclassify, so will likely hear about this for the next several years.
  7. Special teams was much improved for sure. The passing game, or lack there of, is going to be an issue against the better teams we play, especially those that can stop the run. We’ve got matchups we should be able to take advantage of in the passing game; Agee and Zion, the TE’s, Sullivan and Wilson, we just cant seem to get the ball to them consistently when they are open.
  8. They could be by years end…. Who knows. I just have heard from some at Beechwood that both were really down compared to last last couple years of having played them. And Beechwood will face a really down SK next week too, which they obviously can’t control. It is odd for those teams to have such big drop offs from just last year, but seems to be the case.
  9. And no fault to beechwood, Paintsville and Somerset are normally really solid teams to have on the schedule, just happens that they both lost most of their starters from last year and haven’t reloaded at all.
  10. Heard from some friends with kids who are starters for beechwood. Word is they were shocked at how bad Somerset was…. Complete shell of the team they’ve faced in recent years. Obviously beechwood is really good, but the teams they’ve played so far have been terrible.
  11. Pretty good line for both teams, evenly matched. Lex is tough to get much pressure on the qb because they primarily throw short routs, bubble screens, etc. Lex had some big dudes on the O line as well. CCH qb's had plenty of time to throw the ball when they tried, just had trouble hitting their targets.
  12. I felt like they had a lot they can improve upon, some coaching decisions/play calling, tackling in last quarter, multiple turnovers, and were still beating a good lex catch team by 14 with 8min to play. Doesn’t feel good to lose ever, but that doesn’t mean the sky is falling either.
  13. Did you watch the game? Not sure what would lead anyone to think that. CCH has things to improve on no doubt…. But this is just silly.
  14. Nick Keller, 5th year senior for Conner. Offer from Louisville, not sure of others.
  15. Hahaha….Bandits!
  16. My two cents…. Football program has the same feel/support. Basketball is a different story IMO.
  17. That doesn’t fly with Eddie. Not even sure if he would let him on the team. There is no “mixing in some football” with him, Especially during July.
  18. To this point he is not playing football for CCH. Maybe was someone that just looked like him?
  19. Camps in general are not silly.... the mention of them as a big miss for Cam is... none of the other nearly 30 2021 kids from KY who signed with D1 schools went had the chance to go to them either. That was the point. Obviously camps can help, however many kids do get offers with never attending college camps, and the kids I'm familiar with for the 2022 class in NKY all just recieved their first offers beginning in January of this year. One of them actually plays for Beechwood.
  20. All this talk about camps is silly... No one across the country from the class of 2021 got to attend college camps, which includes Cam and the 28 kids from KY who signed with D1 programs as 2021 grads. Cam had 3 years as a starter, meaning 3 years of film to evaluate, which was an even playing field with all other 2021 grads. Also, there are several current 2022 grads in NKY that currently have D1 offers... none of them have attended college camps either. Cam is a great high school player..... however that doesn't always translate to the D1 level like many fans and parents think. It is really hard to get a D1 offer... no shame in not getting to that level.
  21. I’ve heard of a few juniors who are planning to repeat.
  22. In football? Dixie and CCH that I know of. I believe Beechwood as well.
  23. I am hearing that the Diocese of Covington is going to be a no.
