      Bob Sphire built Lexington Catholic program from nothing.  He can rebuild Highlands.  Seems he is off to a good start.   Congratulations to Highlands.

    Highlands beats reigning state champions BG in BG. First game for new head coach. Highlands best  player and QB last second scratch. Watch out.

    Definitely a lot to work on, but good first outing.  Love the enthusiasm that the kids played with.  Have not seen that for several years.  Lastly, how about the call to take a safety when up by 5?

    Highlands definitely looked better than expected, Bowling Green had way too many mistakes.  Great game to watch as a spectator and congrats to Highlands.

     Purples looked shakey and the Birds were the better team tonight. 
     

    You can attribute the loss to many things, but in the end, the three turnovers seem the most glaring.

    Not a last second scratch.  

    Looks like I’ll have to make a trip to Ft. Thomas to see the Coach Sphire version of the Birds this season.

    Great video from 93 Rock but could have done with a little less bias on the audio.

    That is a veteran call by an experienced coach. Loved it.

    If the starting QB was scratched that really is something. Simply because the best player on the field for them offensively tonight would be the QB that played. Consider me seriously impressed if that is the case.
