Consider this and you will understand my earlier comments concerning how uncertain the Purples offense is (so hard for me to say because BG usually dominates on offense).
 

The Final score was 21-18

Take a way pic 6 and it’s 14-18 Purples

Even give back the safety points and it’s 14-16 in favor of Purples

My point….

BG defense allows Highlands only 14 points and Purples still gets beat. That doesn’t happen in 19 out of 20 seasons. 
 

This year for Purples is one of those seasons - If decisions aren’t made on offense to move some personnel around, losing regular season for Purples. 
 

Top 5 defense in Purples history and could possibly have losing season - mind boggling. 
 

Again, congrats to Highlands. Not taking anything at all away from you - you all deserved the win.

BG’’s TD In the first half was the result of the horse collar on 3rd and forever. Allowed BG to retain possession. Otherwise HIghlands would of gotten ball back with 4 minutes or so . Still almost scored getting the ball back with under a minute.  Doesn’t count as a fumble or INT but same result.

Completely agree. And I've bitten my tougue as well as far as specifics, but most people following the team know th specifics.

Most seems to know even during the summer. Hopefully they don't wait until they are 0-4 or 1-3 to make obvious changes. Stubbornness Is a killer.

I respectfully disagree. Anyone watching the game knew BG was inches from blocking every single one of HHS’s punts tonight. Backed up like that, down 5, everyone had it in the back of their mind.  I know I did.  Even going for it would have been better than punting. I like the call. But the punt protection needs work. 

Bob Sphire built Lexington Catholic program from nothing.  He can rebuild Highlands.  Seems he is off to a good start.

Highlands played without their starting QB. 

Surprised no one has commented about Sphires Postgame speech, basically waved down the parent section to join the team on the field to deliver what I guess was a very passionate heart felt victory speech.

I am sure it included #1MARCH

Feel bad for the kid that jumped offsides for BG, was looking forward to BG winning that one last second. Never thought that would be the way it ended. 

Came back from BG and our defense did not let us down!  Pursuit was unreal.  Guess what the LB crew is for real.  D-line rotation strong.  I was very proud of the defensive unit!  Benke did all that was asked of him.  Mind you he is a good wideout too!  Way to step up young man.  Nice Moxie in that one.  Noon and Cam will get that running game going. The defense was outstanding and the unit brought their lunch pails.  Oline held their own against a very good front 3. 

One game.  Win say little lose say less.  We owe SK some payback.
