  1. So now CCH is playing with Jv kids… that is nuts. What exactly did Benke or Bottom do in either game? Or even Noon for that matter? Dietz and Wilson (Blocking) and also Agee and Hummel running the ball dominated in the last game. I’m not sure what game you were watching.
  2. That is laughable. If the birds had more talent they wouldn’t have been beat 38-8. Obviously there isn’t a Micheal Mayer, but this CCH team has plenty of talent, short of a the QB position, which I think they are adjusting decently for. It just happens to stand out greatly at the HS level the and has taken most of the year to work out. For example, the O and D line For CCH dominated the game and was just flat out better players.
  3. Should be pretty good weather compared to last game between these two. It was a steady rain last time. Any injuries on either side that could impact the game?
  4. If similar effort from CCH as we saw against the birds, I don’t see it being close more than a quarter or so. Offense has been looking better and better each week as Agee is getting more comfortable.
  5. Yes, last time was 1996 ( I think) and it was at CCH. Bill Samad was RB for Conner.
  6. I'd be shocked to see Conner win. I can make a little sense in the Cooper upset in the in the first game Conner was missing their starting RB, and then had him back in the mix last week. I believe both Conner and CCH were at full strength 3 weeks ago, so I expect a similar or close to similar result.
  7. One thing that stood out to me for HHS was that they used 3 different kids at QB on the first 3 plays of the game. As I watched I thought it was strange and seemed very gimmicky, and showed a lack of confidence in the game plan before the game even started. I get changing things up as the game goes on if you must, but in the first 3 plays!? Just seemed to send a message that HHS knew they didn't have anything that would work.
  8. It still is for CCH, players and staff. They still prepare like crazy for every game against the birds, regardless of record or previous outcomes.
  9. Know if they went for two to go from 74 to 76 points? 😂
  10. Yeah. I don't disagree. If a legit loophole was found, so be it. Wish the best for the kid. Will be a great game tonight!
  11. I believe the rule is that you have to sit out 1 year after Last playing varsity for a given sport, which that time frame hasn't been met. If khsaa is going to get rid of the rule fine, some consistency would be nice though!
  12. CCH is prepared for him to play.... I honestly don't think it will make a big difference either way. This would be his first varsity game of the year... a pretty big one at that to just jump into and play a big part in. We shall see.
  13. The same issue will be faced for the next few years by HS players with fewer scholarships available.
  14. CCH doesn’t even attempt to consistently throw the ball this year, so everyone has low stats(red/yds). Just the way the offense is this year. I still think Zion has a lot of potential as a WR, just hasn’t had the opportunity to show it this year, along with the other WR’s and TE’s.
  15. Several of other really deserving guys it could go to this year. I honestly could see Cam being a slot type receiver at the next level before playing QB, with his lateral quickness and explosiveness. At least in terms of seeing the field quickly.
  16. Hergott is a great player no doubt, it should be given to a legit senior though.
  17. Agree completely. Maybe not in the first game or two. But at some point absolutely!
  18. I think the talk about the CCH D from my perspective is referring to the points allowed/rushing D over the last several games, and, most importantly, the fact that Noon was held to just 84 yards on 25 carries last game. Oh and now there will be a soph QB making his first playoff start. Revised prediction based on new info: CCH 28 Birds 6!!!
  19. I think it comes down to if Eddie is willing to take the risk of trying to get the ball to those playmakers with the inconsistencies they've had at QB. Does he need to do it to win the game? You've got Zion who could be a game breaker, also Sullivan and Wilson at TE with great size, plus Holtz whose got great hands and size. To this point he hasn't trusted the passing game enough to really go for it, and hasn't really needed to in most games.
  20. I tend to agree with this. MAYBE CCH can get to 21 if they can get the passing game going a little more than normal. However, I feel good about the defense keeping HHS in check regardless of who they have in the backfield. I'll say 17-7 CCH
  21. Noon is for sure a good player. Don't think he will do the trick for HHS though this week. In the first match up he had 24 rushes for 84 yards. I don't care where you line him up, I think the CCH did will have no issue stopping the run. Now will CCH be able to score.... that's another question!
