No controversy this time, Highlands was dominated from start to finish.

They sure were.

Highlands ends with an incredibly disappointing season.

Congrats CCH!

If CCH plays like they did tonight then they just might make it back to a State final. Nice game CovCath. Looking good at the right time.

I do agree this Colonel team is going to be a very tough out for anyone in 5A.

Score looks way closer than the game actually was. Embarrassing. All three phases were not only beat on the field but also out coached. I will be interested to see if some of the "lifers" on here call out the staff like they did in the past. I know it is a process and I know as well as anyone that it is going to take a year or two, but tonight was a step back and the Birds 100% did not look prepared to play. Really disappointed.

I was sitting here thinking roughly the same thing.  If this was the last coach the Highlands Faithful would be losing their minds.

This makes me think the 8-7 game was both teams playing it close to the vest with vanilla schemes.  I didn't see either game, so just a guess.

Yes and no.  Forget about Highlands for a second, I have watched most of the CovCath games this year and this was by far their best performance.  Peaking at the right time!

I will say this as one of those who raised issues with prior staff.  This team went backwards as the year progressed.  That is on the coaching staff.  Coach son is overmatched as offensive coordinator.  I have said several times that I am not sure this guy was the right choice , but change had to happen.
