BGHS has a Freshman center. She has played in Freshman games and held her own just fine against some of the better Freshman teams.

I feel like you could combine Christian Co. and Hopkinsville, and that team would still go 3-8. It's unbelievable what has happened to football in that area. There is an empty stadium. A school has been in the development for about six years now. Both schools have a new coach every year. It's just a nightmare debacle of football and merger management.

Louisville Central coaches should speak at clinics yearly on keeping HS kids together, getting better, and making a deep post-season run, despite their desire to schedule SEC teams in weeks 1-5.

Somewhat of a mystery game in terms of figuring out if both these teams are really, really good, or is just one of them and the other is just a good team. Cooper right now is hanging their hat on what we know they brought back and their win against Ryle, though from what I have read, many Ryle folks felt like they should have won that game. They have also beaten a Bardstown team that lost just as badly to Ashland and two bad teams. Great Crossing has two victories that should be statement wins, against Scott Co. and Lex. Cath, but both those two programs, at least for now, look a little down (though both have played BRUTAL schedules). We're going to find out who Great Crossing is in the next four games as they play Cooper, Mad Central, Simon Kenton (win), and Ryle. I'll take Cooper as the team on a mission over Great Crossing as the team in the rise. Cooper - 35 Great Crossing - 21 * - Highlands is still gonna beat Cooper this year.

Hard to argue against Cooper at the 1. After that, it is a little silly.

Final from Brownsville. Caverna improves to 3-1, with their only loss being to an undefeated 3A Adair Co—good win for the Colonels on the road. First time since 2004 that the Colonels have won 3 of their first 4!

Male had a nice overtime win again X. They are not at all in Boyle's league. I would say Boyle probably running clocks Male in the 1st half. I watched BG scrimmage Male and it was a complete massacre by BG. Males seems to be figuring things out... but come on.

Over the last two years, common opponent scores suggest otherwise. No one on Trinity's schedule is near the caliber of St. Edwards. Trinity has been the flagship program for the last 25 years; there is no doubt about that. Head to head last year and this year? Boyle handles them.

This one seems pretty straightforward. They have a common opponent, and there is a pretty big difference in how each of them handled that common opponent. I thought Boyle would drop off. I was wrong. Boyle is considerably better than Trinity. To be honest, I think X may beat Trinity this year.

I think Boyle has shown they are the best in KY. I also think they get mauled in this one. St. Edwards is drawing the top talent from an area with a population of around 3 million.

I think Cooper, Highlands, and Scott Co. can all beat one another. If BG stays healthy, I see them waiting on one of those three. BG has yet to play well against Highlands outside of the '95 State Championship... Cooper has a bone to pick with BG... Scott Co. has confidence from their scrimmage that they can play with BG. Makes for a competitive class!

Greenwood beat South two years ago. South lost all of its skill players from 2023, and two more that they didn't count on losing. I'm just floating it out there that South may not be what they have been and Greenwood may be a little better than many expect.

I'm not so sure South beats Greenwood this year.
