Male vs. Saint Xavier Predictions/Updates

Male (2-0) will host Saint Xavier (2-0) after defeating Ballard 49-21. St. X travels to Male after defeating Central 37-7. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM Friday.

Last year St. X beat Male 20-10.

Male's powerful duo of RB Chayce Burton and QB/WR/RB and wherever else they need him Antonio Harris combined for 7 touchdowns against Ballard with Burton scoring 4 of the 7. NC. St. OL Commit Isaac Sowells is helping open big holes for the duo. Male surrendered 21 pts to a struggling Ballard offense who was shut out the week before by South Warren.

St. X against Central got a big effort from WR/RB Marlon Harbin who had two long TD runs and rushed for a total of 122 yards. The St. X defense gave up one TD to a offensively challenged Central team playing without RB Cortez Stone.

This rivalry seems as old as time and has been fairly even the last 10 meetings with both schools winning 5 of the 10 meetings. With both teams having good offenses this will come down to which team plays the better defense and I see this being a higher scoring game than last year's 20-10 game. Which team get's the most stops to pull out the win?

I foresee Male having a little more offensive firepower, 35-28.

St. X offense to me is edge. If they hadn't pulled starters against Central probably would have scored 50+.

Hard to tell who Male is. Didn’t look like a “Male” team in their two scrimmages then have played really well against not so great JCPS teams this year. Should be another fun game in this series.

Both very close so more like a toss up. I watched the Male vs. Ballard game and Ballard was within 14 pts in the 4th quarter but the Ballard defense had guys cramping and were gassed so Male pulled away in the 4th quarter. It was almost like Ballard didn't know who Antonio Harris was, I would follow that guy to the concession stand if he went there.
