Not true, alot of Arenas have partitions, or only sell one side of seats Upper and Lower, for a reduced rental feel. You're not needing maintenance, concessions, security...so it cuts down on cost.

Indiana charges $15 for a ticket per day at Lucas Oil Stadium, and they broadcast games for free on local TV. Kentucky State Basketball tournament isn't much more $ but they do it by the session, so you're at least getting 2 games in for that price. I can't imagine Rupp is that more expensive to rent out, especially if you blackout the upper level seats at Kroger Field.

If you want to have State Championships at College/Pro Stadiums, you're gonna have to pony up. Certain Schools not making the Finals is a bigger hit on attendence then pricing. KHSAA loves for Belfry to make it. Look at KHSAA Financial reports from playoff games. Like small schools in basketball, the more they advance the better it is for the KHSAA. I think this will be well attended due to the location and teams, Franklin Simpson and Mayfield are the odd ones out in reality.

That's where the 3 way to breaker has it's faults. Someone like Harlan Co. played a tough OOD district schedule, and 3 of their 5 wins came in district play. So you can only count 2 of their opponents wins, compared to North Laurel who had 5 wins against somewhat lesser competition who can count 4 opponents wins.

Yeah but they're just as much a 1 seed as they are a 3 seed.

I remember a time earlier this year when I was trying to give Pikeville some love, but some weren't feeling it because they weren't "competing" with their schedule. I feel better about my assessment.

Though a couple of games that were blowouts during the regular reason, went the opposite way. Some games are bound to be blowouts, but sometimes it's all on what team shows up. I thought this was the best round of Region games in a while. I think 4-5 teams? that lost during the regular season matchup, won the rematch.

It what situation would a poor community with 200 boys schedule Trinity? And vice versa? If you gave the leading scorer in the state Family Dollar shoes, he would still put up the same amount of points, shoes don't make the player.

Looking at enrollment and roster Paris is going to struggle after next year. You don't have to load up a schedule, but 2-3 games isnt going to hurt, considering the district is usually weak as well.
