Paris has more than 50-65 boys in their school, probably closer to a 100(according to KHSAA. Maybe 50-65 that play sports but anyways. That's the difference though between a team like Paris and Raceland. Raceland has played up to their competition such as Ashland and Somerset. I'd take a 14 point loss to Ashland or a 3 point loss to Somerset over any win on Paris' schedule. Those in my book are good losses. To solid teams. In most years Harrison Co. would of been a solid match, but they apparently are really bad this year. Ludlow will be an interesting game, because I believe Paris' gets a bye, so that'll give time for their players to rest and have 2 weeks to prepare for Raceland or Paintsville.

I believe they had 2 of their 7-8 offensive weapons out for that game. It's why they only had 12 points.

Paris along with their entire district is the epitome of "they'd rather aim low and hit then aim high and miss" which kills them come play off time. I think they're offense is a regular 1A offense. If you look at all their high scoring outputs, other equal teams have had around the same amount of points when played. Alot of teams could put 68 on Berea, Bracken(45) and Ludlow(54) put up points on Brossart. Multiple teams put up more points on Pineville. I just don't understand where Paris can compete with the upper echelon of 1A.

I don't think this would be any different then Basketball's Sweet 16, but a classified Football Sweet 16. The KHSAA loves that. You have alot of favorites teams facing each other in the first couple rounds due to the blind draw.

They should only rank 5 Teams in 1A

Good Defense against weak teams, doesn't mean they have a good defense. When they face a team like Raceland or Paintsville in the 2nd round there will be a world of difference. Paintsville has only had 92 points scored against them, Raceland 82 against way better quality opponents. Yet Paris fans don't understand that concept, and still they think they're the 80's hounds.

That's just ranking schedule strength, not actual rankings. Lex Cath is ranked 4th, behind Belfry(3), Corbin(2), and Boyle(1). Garrard has played Catholic and Boyle which have the two highest SOS in 3A,Danville,plus a good Madison Southern team. Which gives them a very strong schedule.

I think CalPreps is the best you can get ranking High School football.

Considering Bracken and Brossart significant wins, is like saying Paris has the best defense in 1A, because they've only given up 72pts to a weak schedule.

Bracken hits nothing but field goals and wins 27-14....

Paris will beat another team they should beat, and remain without a significant win.

It'll get to a point wherr most one seeds will have byes because the 4th seed will forfeit. Other than your city school districts, there aren't many 4-1 upsets. But i believe there should be some type of system, that if your a your a team with multiple losing seasons, you're forced to be out of classification until you can be competitive. There are 16? Winless teams in all classes and lots of 1 win teams currently. If its a pattern of losing seasons, KHSAA needs to remove them from classification.

Brossart can beat Bracken, but they wouldn't do any better against Paris,if you catch my jive.

I'm forecasting a District championship for Paris, I don't think Brossart is any better than Bracken.

Newport Central Cath and Owensboro Catholic should be playing in 1A right now. There is such a disparity between 1A. In theory it would be better to move up a bunch of teams up to 2A.

This game should be a good one, Bracken in back to back anticipated games, winner gets a home playoff game IMO

I believe a first round bye, since district 8 only has 3 teams in it this year. So there isn't a fifth team to move to district 6? Then will play Paintsville or Raceland in the 2nd Rd.

Middle School Soccer gets more practice time on the football field then the actual football team. I believe Lexington schools aren't allowed to practice off campus?

Does Dunbar's defense just stay on the field the whole game?
