Great win for the Cats! Great atmosphere. Started with a great performance of the national anthem. Good luck to JC. Very good team.

Johnson Central probably had twice as many first downs, but they shot themselves in the foot with several costly turnovers and Ashland had 3 big scoring passes to do enough to pull off the upset.

Yowza. That is an upset!

The story here is 3 things:

1. Johnson Central had two huge second Half fumbles deep in Tomcat territory

2. Ashland was gamers. Braxton Ratliff made the big plays and the D got some HUGE stops

3. JC's lack or rather unwillingness to kick hurt them. They did not convert an Extra Point or two Point conversion. They also could have attempted a 35 yarder for the tie but chose not to.

 

 

Huge win for Ashland and Class 4A is now wide open

And Ashland was questioned about being in the top 10 awhile back!!
