Well, that’s why they play the games. As I said in the predictions thread, I felt like Ashland’s best chance was there big play ability.

 

But with that many turnovers in late game situations, your not going to beat many good teams. JC’s margin of error is far less than last season. Without any major playmakers like Geordan Blanton or Joe Jackson, JC will rely heavily on there ground and pound and simply wearing teams down. And for the most part I felt they did but the late turnovers simply done them in.

 

The road for JC is still there, it just got a little bumpier. Hopefully this motivates this team to correct their issues and start another run. Time will tell.

Most games I’ve seen this season, they have kicked XP. Not to many FG. JC’s starting kicker, also a soccer player, broke his leg in a soccer game and is out for the season.

 

I think with this game in particular, Matney may have felt they could get the 2 points which I was nearly certain they did on the first one, but that another discussion.

I firmly believe the extremely weak district really hurts Ashland and Johnson Central. Greenup County is much improved this year, but it’s really hard to improve from week to week when you’re playing teams that would struggle to beat a lot of schools JV teams.’
