Compete with, yes. The game for the next 3 years will be VERY competitive. All 3 classes for both teams are talented. Plantmanky seems to disagree, but I have a feeling, he hasn’t watched too many of these classes play for either team.

The best thing about this is now the boys can just get back to training and not have this mess hanging over them. For those who have questioned the talent the past few years, it certainly won’t be the case next year. If the boys are put in the right position to be successful, they will be. With a clear QB in Grady, and Cooper running the ball, the birds should have a loaded offense. The D will miss steiden in the secondary, but all of the injuries last year gave underclassmen tons of playing time which will pay off next year. Bowman, Huddleston, starkey, and dellegrange will be a loaded LB crew and a force on D. Best of luck to the staff and the team. This talented group has the attitude and desire to bring the birds back. If Ahfeld gets a chance to play offense watch out. The kid is a playmaker!

Not a chance! This team is LOADED with talent all over the field... they will battle CCH and bowling green for top team in 5A.

Is this really a problem at hhs? How many on the soccer team would be impact players on the varsity football field? I’m not familiar with hhs soccer.

Oline will be the one big question for the birds next year. This team will be loaded with talent all over the field so let’s hope the big boys up front step up to the challenge. Trent will certainly be the leader in the trenches.

The downfall at cch and nearly two decades of getting blasted by the birds every year is over.... but to think the birds won’t rebound (as Cov cath did) is just bring ignorant. The birds will be back. And I certainly don’t think it will take 20 years.

I don’t see any team dominating in NKY after this year. Cov cath was hands down the best this year. For the next several, HHS, Cov cath, and Ryle are all be loaded with talent. It’s going to be an exciting 3-4 years ahead of us in northern ky.

Play calling was questionable all year and Use of personnel was questionable at many positions. You saw it play out at QB, but for those who KNOW the kids on the team, many positions could/should have played out differently. If the kids are put in the right positions to be successful they will be. Talent will be there. Do you realize in these “beat downs” , there were times when it was 5 sophomores on the field. Please tell me any year when there were times with 5 Sophomores 4 juniors and 2 seniors on a field for highlands varsity. It happened many times this year. these junior and sophomore classes are stacked! I’m very optimistic about next year when “lack of talent” won’t be allowed to be an excuse.

Cramer looked great today at qb. I have seen a lot of football l. I have seen a lot of great players. I have NEVER seen a sophomore play like Huddleston.

The fact that Jake Chisholm doesn’t have a college offer (I don’t think), has to make him the most under rated. What ever school lands him is getting a steal.
