Dragons coming off a first week bye, and the Bluebirds coming off a 34-7 victory over Oldham County.

I'm gonna so South Oldham in a close one.

Birds will handle the Dragons.

Dragons will burn the Birds.

How is SO’s running game?

HHS had much less trouble with Oldham than South did. Have to see the Birds as the favorite IMO.

I’ve been told that South Oldham has not really faced a spread team as athletic as Highlands. That alone should favor the Bluebirds.

SO is one of the best teams in the state.

The difference now Offensively is Highlands can now stretch the field with their Track star receivers. Before not so much. That changes the game dramatically. Not even close.

This is one of the most interesting games of the second round. Highlands is on the rise and seems to be peaking at the right time. They finished in the regular season rankings just outside the top ten at #11. If we were doing rankings this week they would be sitting solid at #9, so in my mind you can look at this as if it were a #4 versus #9 matchup. I think it will be a close game, but have to pick the home team to win.

Hoping Highlands wins

If they keep their heads in the game (unlike 2nd half of Oldham County) they're good for another shot at CovCath and a far better showing than the last. There are some obvious stand out players - Grady looked remarkably good, Huddy of course, Nick of course, Larry has put in some serious work over the season, d-line has had a hard time with injuries but Nate Davis is a stud - always good for multiple tackles and sacks each game.

I see they only beat Oldham County by 10 or something? But they did destroy most everyone else they played including Doss. Could you elaborate on "one of the best in the state"?

 

Seems strange because I feel like Highlands could have beaten Oldham County by a lot more.
