  1. I have heard about Jolly boys. Who else is a down field threat for CC? It's going to be tough to beat the birds without multiple weapons.
  2. From what I can remember, Depp had a pick 6. Buten 3TD runs on only a handful of carries, Bowling TD run, Houze TD reception on a blown coverage, and I think south had the TD on the botched punt out of the endzone. Like another poster said, the Cooper guys didn't even try to down the ball, so he picked it up and ran in the end zone. They went for 2 on all scores. This was the birds coming in aggressive and with a chip on their shoulder... I've got news for you NKY, this group of birds ALL have a chip on their shoulder. AND loads of talent in the Junior and Sophomore classes to go with it. Buckle up.
  3. My question was more about the number of guys than the size of them. Is it 4 guys going all game or a rotation of 6,7,8 guys????
  4. He's a stud. Had a nice TD run in the varsity game also on only a couple carries. Crazy talent for a sophomore.
  5. Nope. Salmon wasn't planned. He had a fumble recovery in the endzone. As some stated in the preview threads, this team is loaded at RB. Schwalbach is the leader, but they have 5 guys who can gain yards and make a big play (Schwalbach, Huddleston, Boling, Buten, Brune) and Cramer can run also.
  6. Both had big wins on Friday night. Who has the upper hand in this one?
  7. My point exactly...when those misses start connecting (and they will), watch out.
  8. Very small... other than 32, not much team size at all.
  9. As with most things in life, the truth is in the middle. If Top NKY team played top Louisville team, louisville team would win 8 or 9 out of ten times... BUT to think a NKY team could NEVER beat a team like Trinity is just not true. Highlands (in the Dale years) would usually get beat by the power cincy schools, but occasionally could pull off a win. It happens.
  10. 3 passes right off the finger tips that should have been TD's for the birds that resulted in punt/loss of downs.. One to Sisson, one to AK, and i forget who the third was. This was a couple plays from being really ugly.
  11. What talent does Meade have? Does SK have Any top 10 6A teams on the schedule ?
  12. 35-14... a few big runs from England is the only offense you’ll see for Ryle.
  13. It's going to be a long night for Cooper High School and a big night for Cooper Schwalbach. 35-14 Birds. Too much Schwalbach and Huddy. Look for a TD on special teams from Ahfeld or Huddy.
  14. You’re going to see quickly just how good Hergott is.
  15. Easy answer. It’s not a matter of taking it serious. Our best teams historically aren’t 6A. They are highlands, Cov Cath, and beechwood... in Louisville, the top talent Combine to 2 schools (trinity and x). In northern Kentucky, people (for the most part)are stay in their smaller local district. The 6A programs in no ky will never compete because they are pulling from one area, not a full metro region like in Louisville or Cincinnati.
  16. I actually like what they tweeted. And The entire tweet was Remember, 'Rome was not built in a day.' Instant success is never possible. Competence results only from sustained, consistent, self-disciplined effort over an extended period of time. – Bud Wilkinson They were telling the boys , you’re not just going to be “better” or “ things fixed” tomorrow. It’s going to come by working hard and putting in sustained effort every day! That is a great message to kids after a scrimmage. No magic solution. Just keep grinding every day.
