  1. Are you implying highlands DOESN'T play a tough schedule and schedules for an easy “win column”? You’ve got to be kidding me.
  2. There was one late/bad hit out of bounds by an HHS player on the far side of the field. Seemed to be good aggressive football other than that one play. Hollingsworth had some nice throws on 3rd/4th downs and a few nice scrambles. He had an impressive day, and the D again has a shutout.
  3. He is a stud. Went both ways and Played every snap in the first half. Kid must be in great condition too.
  4. Sorry, I was incorrect. This is not a link to a live steam. My apologies. Hopefully birds broadcasting will stream it.
  5. They were calling for it yesterday. Looks like any showers will be south and should miss us.
  6. It's going to be tough to run against SC. I hope HHS uses some swing passes in the flat to Buten, Schwalbch, and Huddy to open it up. Our Oline guys are not huge but they are athletic and do a great job of pass protection. Those flats were open all day against Campbell County and it got exposed in the second half when the birds started throwing there.
  7. Calling for bad weather in 2nd half. Who does that help/hurt?
  8. 2 and 3 are in the wrong order. HHS with two convincing wins over 6A teams. SK 2 narrow wins over 2 bad teams.
  9. I think 3 things need to happen for the birds to take this one. 1, They have to get the offense moving early with intermediate passes to their big targets. You don't want to play from behind against a team like SC. 2, finish plays on D and wrap up. This team has done a great job so far of not letting guys get loose after a hit and this will be critical against SC. 3, win the turnover battle. HHS doesn't need 6 turnovers, but they can't give the ball away more than they get it.
  10. Hudson is a beast for SC.. who do they have other than him on either side of the line?
  11. We all know they are going to run it on O... Who are the leaders on the Scott Co Defense this year?
  12. What should we expect from this one being played in Ft. Thomas?
  13. Highlands JV has played 2 6A teams and scores have totaled 96-0.
  14. What was Bryan Station ranked? Is this a good win or unimpressive? Anxious to see what SK can do against the top 10 5A or 6A teams. Who are the best 3 games on their schedule?
  15. Heard the same thing this past week. Nice win over Cooper, but we'll see how good they REALLY are against Campbell County. Ended up causing 6 TOs and winning 34-7. CC didn't just give HHS the ball. This D is aggressive, hits hard, finishes plays, in great condition, and is going to cause turn overs all year because of it.
  16. I'm hearing Highlands "turned it on" in the second half. Truth is, they changed things. I would like to see the staff make these changes earlier against a team like Scott Co. 1, they started rotating in Buten and going 2 backs for a few sets in the second half. This change got the running game going and gave Coop some help. Just FYI, Buten has about 10 carries on the year and 2 long TDs.. When both of them are in there, you can run misdirections, you have an extra blocker, and you don't know who is getting the ball, it causes problems for the D.. 2, in years of the past, HHS receivers were small and burners, so they used their speed to separate and went deep a lot. This group of guys are NOT that, but they are REALLY talented... King, Ahfeld, Roberts, Sisson... These are bigger guys than Highlands has had in a LONG time. These guys can take hits and once they started calling more intermediate passes , the O was rolling. The D really stepped up in intensity and I honestly thought the camels looked exhausted by the middle of the 3rd and the birds picked it up. Also have to call out #7 on CC for the BEST CATCH you will see in High school football all year. That kid has talent.
