  1. Highlands and NCC vs. Cov Cath and beechwood would make for quite a rivalry.
  2. By the end of the year you’ll be able to add schwalbach and Cramer to the list.
  3. Great move! This makes for a very good 5A district in NKY
  4. 2 of the 3 are. Kavanagh is 2b and ss.
  5. Listed 6’2 225... I would say that’s about right.
  6. Sisson along with Dierig on the other edge 6’3” 240 and a very aggressive/athletic Lewin 6’0 190 is going to be a tough line.. I really hope they give Trent Johnson 6’2” 225 reps on the D line more than they did last year. Kid is an animal.
  7. By the way, I forgot to mention Ethan Kavanagh, who just committed to UK as a sophomore and will be a top 5 player in the state in 2020.
  8. Depends how the young talent develops.. will the birds have another Rom in 2020? Probably not, but JB is doing a great job developing every class coming up. Guys like Hollingsworth, Hergott, and Noe will be the pitchers you’ll be facing then. Just FYI, Hollingsworth already has an offer as a sophomore and Hergott will be a major D1 talent in both football and baseball.
  9. Highlands- this will be the strength of the team. Loaded with speed and athleticism. Huddleston and Bowman will be the leaders, but Starkey, delgrange, and schwalbach also come back with starting experience. The birds are about 8-10 deep of varsity experience at LB. The varsity reps they got as young birds last year will pay off in the fall.
  10. Highlands will be much better at the plate this year. and I think we all know how the pitching will be. Improvements of players will much outweigh the loses. Good luck to the rest of the field. You’re all playing for second this year.
  11. Yep. Very impressive kid on and off the field.
  12. Also Had a couple games where he was only in a series or 2..
  13. Your exact quote was "i don't care who the QB is". This year will show just how good AJ and Butler really were.
  14. Mayer, coldiron, and McGinnis (sp) will be great , but to say it doesn’t matter who plays qb is just an ignorant statement. Mayer was one of the best leaders at THE most important position on the field. Will they be very good, yes. Are they heads and shoulders better than anyone else, no.
  15. To think they will dominate like last year is quite a stretch. Last year was something special. Teams like that don't happen every year... Or every decade for that matter. This year they will be a Top team in NKY (along with HHS in 5A and Ryle and SK in 6A). In 5A, there will be a handful of teams in the drivers seat (CCH,HHS,BG,SouthWarren). Who stays healthy and what leaders step up will be the difference, but to think it's going to be running clocks every 5A or KY game again is just not going to happen.
  16. I think they’ll get a chance to see some time and have a solid impact. Especially Buten at RB.. this is the biggest difference from this past year to next year. Last year 10-12 sophomores were NEEDED to step up and become varsity starters/leaders. This coming year, the guys mentioned above will be able to fill in, have an impact, and help the team when needed. They will be able to be the icing on the cake, not the main ingredients. Big difference.
  17. Have Highlands students ever traveled well for away basketball games? Even to Cchs... I don’t think this is new.
  18. This thread is comparing Cov cath teams to each other. Not sure i understand the point of bringing hhs into the conversation. Back to Cov cath.
