Scott Co. vs SHA should be a good 1st round match up. Mercer vs Campbell and Butler vs SHA would be a good final 4. Seeding probably couldn't have done much better if this is how it works out.

It's hard to be "up" for every game. But I have a feeling that CC will play their best against SHA. I look for it to be a battle decided late in the contest. If there is any foul trouble that could be the deciding factor either way.

Zone vs man to man. MoCo also did a good job of keeping Dunaway out of the lane. FYI...Lofton returned to action last night and made a couple big plays late for MC.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think anyone has worn Chris Lofton's #4 or Darius Miller's #21 since they wore the jersey.

A referee is supposed to be able to signal the players number to the scoring table. Therefore you could not distinguish between say 25 and 7 etc.

I think that if it was truly for only the "A" size schools there would be less heartburn for a lot of people. Those would be the size schools that truly have a disadvantage from a student body standpoint when it comes to competing for a Sweet 16 berth.

What level of D1 ball does everyone think Dontaie eventually plays at? Personally I've seen him several times and I think he's Power 5 caliber, but not sure he has those level offers.

Gas prices in Maysville jumped from $2.33 to $2.59. I don't see how the gas stations are allowed to do that...especially when they haven't gotten a load of fuel.

This is from carpdiem in the Anna Clephane 2000 pt thread. So if you discount her 100 pts as a 8th grader, looks like she would reach 2000 in a 4 year period in a few games. Anna Clephane scored her 2,000th Point(and 35 additional) on Thursday night against NCC on the Hill. Referencing an earlier thread, she scored less than a 100 points as an 8th grader and since has averaged: 14/gm Freshman 19/gm Sophmore 22/gm Junior 29/gm Senior

There needs to be a rule that once it gets to be a running clock, the teams can mutually agree to end the contest at that point.

Mercer plays at Mason County (Fieldhouse) this Saturday if anyone wants to come out and watch. It's a triple header. I believe the schedule is Frosh @ 2, JV @3, and V at 4:30.

Based on these rankings, Mason County has played/will play the #1, #4, #5, #6, and #9 teams in the state. And throw in Simon Kenton late in the year (probably when Niece is back!). Big challenge for the Lady Royals but will help to make them better for the end of the year.

Per Travis Skaggs' twitter.... Both teams were red hot on 3's. Holmes 13/23 56.5%, Mason County 9/14 for 64.3%. That was the difference in the game. Holmes was 10/15 in the first half. They were scorching the nets from everywhere.

Those players listed are for Nicholas County. So I would guess the title is wrong.

MC showed a lot of grit. Each time GRC surged ahead MC fought back. Good game overall. GRC 1 pt better tonight. Congrats to them.

Jesse...Have you heard if Niece is going to try to come back and play this year?

Next 3 games for MC...GRC, Holmes, and Ryle. Definitely will be a challenge.
