The Newport vs HC game thread wasn’t exactly clear in this, to me any way. He was tossed for a late hit out of bounds? Or to many late hits? Either way if he can’t play it certainly hurts Newport.

How can Dayton, having to cancel the game vs Ludlow do to injuries, be playing in back to back weeks against Bellevue and Beechwood? Was it injuries or more than that? I’m taking Beechwood by as many their coaching staff wants. Running clock by second quarter at latest.

Outside of the KHSAA/City red tape, what’s the negative of combining programs? At some point in time you have to realize what’s going to happen. I know it’s not as easy as just combining football teams bc of all the other sports. But something had to give and it’s happening sooner than later

That is an unreal amount of scoring in three quarters. Especially with a running clock. We need more details. How do you get that many with a running clock?

Tonight at my sons football game, a guy I went to high school with (not Dayton), and lives in Dayton said they had to cancel the rest of the season Any truth to that?

How does everyone in the stands see “several players throwing punches” and no one gets tossed? Ryle is obviously down this year but it happens to all programs. Trinity, St X, Danville, Highlands the past 3 yearss it’s all a cycle.

It seems to me once CovCath embraced the spread offense they went ahead leaps and bounds of Beechwood. Much like Highlands of the mid 90s and on. When it was three yards and a cloud of dust, these teams (like most games of that style) would be closer in scoring ability.

It was pouring buckets last night, I can’t compare for today. As for the drainage issue, to me it seems like it would have to do with the creek backing up to fast and thus keeping the water from draining. That’s an assumption I have, could drain somewhere else? As far as the game, that is extremely low scoring. Any more in depth details? Each team keep it on the ground the whole time? With that kind of score how fast was the game played?

I don’t know how many of my Ohio co-workers I’ve told about how the way Scott Co runs in the wing T. I say it’s like magic. The Moeller play by play guys were confused on who had the ball multiple times. Way to represent. Fair to say now that it’s between Scott County and Male?

Never been to Corbin (been through a few times). What makes it so tough to play there minus what seems to be officiating complaints?

I’ve always thought the same about using a field goal kick as your punt. Like Tilghman said worse that happens if not blocked is it’s a touchback

Anytime an official gets taken out no one should cheer. Same for any player, coach, stat man, ball boY, traineR etc

Just remember they throw the ball WAY more now than when Everson was running the ball. Obviously he was a great back but his numbers would be lower (like may RBs of those day) playing today.

I remember when this event started. It was so hyped, and like said before it was a great privilege to be invited. It was strictly at Nippert and strictly for the opening weekend. Now it's all season long? How is Pickerington Central vs a team fro Illinois even considered a Southwest Ohio game? Tom Gamble is looking out for number one. He must be one heck of a salesman.

Bolden is a proven coach and Boiman a standout player in high school and college. This being an NKY event, why do we have two big time Southwest Ohio guys doing photo-ops?
