Bellevue 45 Dayton 6

Featured Replies

Final. Both teams playing with depleted lineups, 20 dressing for the Tigers, and 18 for Dayton. Daniel Hill with 3 TD's filling in for the injured Will Ryan, and also adding TD runs for Bellevue were Connely, Kenny Ross, and Charlie Schreiber, who also had an interception. Bellevue improves to 5 and 3 and will host Ludlow next week for the 2 seed in the district and a home playoff game.

Thank you, nice report @tiger32 !

Congratulations to Bellevue. I’m really concerned about both programs with the numbers of players.

And judging from their shared junior high team, the numbers aren't good.

I know.

They arrived in a bus. I think both schools will struggle to field teams as soon as next year.

Also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention also the TD run by Bellevue’s Gavin “Purple” Hayes.

As much as I don't want to think about it, it's hard to disagree right now. I can remember people talking and talking about it over the years and saying how both would have to eventually merge or something else. It's became much more realistic as of late.

I know that it's only middle school and the younger teams below, but as soon as the River City Ducks program began, I thought that the possibility was becoming a lot more realistic for both varsity programs.

Outside of the KHSAA/City red tape, what’s the negative of combining programs? At some point in time you have to realize what’s going to happen. I know it’s not as easy as just combining football teams bc of all the other sports. But something had to give and it’s happening sooner than later

I agree. I dont like those numbers at all.

Only time Dayton had the paddle was my senior year. Need Dayton to take one eventually to not tarnish 2007.
