  1. My folks rented a house on lake Erie for them, my family and my other two brothers families. Mom said it'll be closer to home and people always go to the beach, try something new. Has a nice beach but i'm assuming the water may be a little cold.
  2. So from $2.67 on the 21st to $2.96 at 4:30 am at the Bellevue UDF. Just plain disgusting. My 4 cylinder holds 14 gallons and I usually fill up right at 1/4 of a tank left. Usually around $20-$25. This is just bogus
  3. I'm always interested to see where the college guys land, but never to crazy to watch 8 hours of coverage a day. Would like the Bengals to get at least one pick that everyone can agree was the right pick.
  4. draftjoshallen.com Go Pokes, represent.
  5. Kyle Kelly was my sons "Big Brother" when Kyle was an eighth grader and my son was in first grade. All my son talked about and still does is how awesome he is at football. He still has a football Kyle signed for him as an eighth grader. Hard not to root for him given the type of person he is. I tell my son (who is already in fourth grade) that no matter your age or skill level there is always a little kid out there that is looking up to you.
  6. A comedy, but I would be the butt of the jokes. No matter how much I sincerely try to do the right thing, it always blows up in my face.
  7. Growing up we always had Hard shell with freshly shredded cheese and sour cream. If you didn't chew the shell up enough it felt like razor blades in your throat. At some point in high school my mom switched to soft shell. It was a very amazing experience. We obviously had Taco Bell and I'd always go soft shell there. I haven't had Taco Bell in about 12 years. I was an apprentice in my trade and we were working at a nursing home, lets just say I should've put on a pair of depends after lunch. Haven't been back since. I do love Taco Tuesdays at my home and eat until I can't anymore. We use soft shells
  8. I despise Starbucks with every ounce of energy in my body. Think they are extremely over priced and the weird vibe I get when I spend the 10 seconds in their (when I pick up an online order for my wife) gives me a the hee bee geebies. But If I walked in and just sat down, was asked to leave if I wasn't going to order anything, and I wasn't waiting for someone then I'd be inclined to leave. If I was waiting for someone I'd explain I was, if I was asked to leave again I'd leave and they'd never get my buisness again. Of course the scenario isn't quite the same. The bathroom at the local Bucks doesn't require asking for a key, so I could slide in in an emergency situation and probably not be looked at (of course I am white). Bottom line is if the business doesn't want your money (which they do) they have the right to refuse and ask you to leave and if you don't you'll have to deal with the consequences
  9. UDF in Bellevue was $2.87 at 5:30am yesterday and $2.67 at 5:30am today. Cashier said I may want to fill up today because........ I can only assume the prices are spiking due the impending war in Syria and OPEC taking advantage. Although President Trump called OPEC out on the oil situation on Twitter yesterday.
  10. I agree on the Saving Silverman. He was great in that role and threw myself for a loop when he flipped his sexual preference.
  11. I podcast: KSR Pardon my Take (by far the best out there) Zero Blog Thirty (Military pod cast hosted by a former Marine and Captain of the Army. Very knowlegeable). Stuff You Should is awesome Oscar Combs interviews Bill Burr (hilarious caution cursing is involved) Dan Patrick Show PodFathers (two guys talking about being dads)
  12. I truly believe that CovCath saw this coaching opportunity as a way to help Pike. Give him a reason to keep busy, get some self fulfillment. I woul have to assume they knew his past and thought they could help him. I 100% agree with them terminating him. I know zero about Pike off the field (other than the obvious), but I've been around NKY football since 1996. I've been around Pee Wee to Varsity football since 2003. In that time I have seen 1000's of players and few that carried the Hype (imo undeserved) that Pike has in that time. Even when he was playing for the Raiders it was as if he walked on air. My perception was then and now, is that people were afraid to tell him NO bc of who his father is and started becoming his enablers. In high school the way he talked to all his coaches, including Spritzky would get him put on the bench most anywhere else. My question is, is he being enabled by his parents? family? or is he just a person that no one can help?
  13. A black lab for city living. Naive to think she'd stay in our yard. Any chance she could she would be gone. Wasn't putting in an electric fence. I'd run 2-3 miles 2-3 days a week with her, I would take her down to the flood wall in Dayton (prior to the silly million dollar homes) and I would take her to the dog park once or twice a week. The dog hand boundless amounts of energy even after she got to year 5.
  14. We will be going down tomorrow instead of Saturday bc the weather service is calling for a 60% chance of snow Saturday. It'll be bad enough with a 9,5, and 1 year old for 3 hours without the help of a weather delay. I appreciate the suggestions.
  15. My mom whose father was in the pacific during WWII (as her two uncles) asked my dad (whose three uncles were in WWII, losing one) why he stands at sporting events and not when you can actually hear it on the television? This was when the whole Kapernick thing started. My dad now makes a point to stand and my mom laughs at him, basically calling him a hypocrite. In school we stood bc it was just part of the morning routine which also included the morning prayer (catholic school here). No protests I can remember, just the routine.
  16. KSR mentioned outside of the two title runs for Jay Wright, he has never advanced to the sweet 16. Crazy Stat. He seems to be in full stride now though. I turned off the game at the last TV timeout and Nova's bench was outscoring Michigans 33-3. The Italian kid (wont even attempt to spell) Had 29 at that point (off the bench), he played one of the best if not the best games in finals history. I thought UM would need to take advantage of any TOs by Nova and very early they did, but then they decided to settle for 3s instead of driving to the hoop which was effective. As many shots as Nova missed UM did just the same and eventually Nova found it's stride and there you have it. To many guys that can score for a offensive limited team to defeat. Best team in the country won this year.
  17. Family is traveling from Ft Thomas to Dunnville, Ky to pick up a dog on Dunnville rd. Mapquest has us getting off in Lexington and working our way to Casey Co. I enjoy road trips off the beaten path of the Interstate. I’m always excited to see parts of Ky I would never see. Any suggestions on a quicker way to get there or any places to maybe eat?
  18. Michigan needs to lay off the three and keep driving. So far so good
  19. Alabama is on such a higher level than 99% of other schools and ND is just running on fumes based on the past. Can't see this as any thing other than a money grab by ND. Hopefully I am wrong
  20. People talk about their FG% but how many lay ups do they get? They create the lay ups and can give clinics on reverse lay ups. They don’t “settle” for threes they attack then kick out. They work the clock. Bigger schools feel they’re better than short range jumpers and take deep threes. Go Ramblers.
  21. There was ZERO word of any idea of K retiring this year. But there was plenty of talk about if Duke won that K would surpass John Wooden as the all time final four leader (13 for K to 12 for Woodwn). If Duke wins today then wins the title does K hang it up? He’s an awesome coach and my UK allegiance wants him to retire sooner than. Later
  22. After typing for twenty minutes I no rebuttal. It’s the perfect answer.
  23. I still can’t understand how Kansas didn’t attack Carter, Jr with four fouls. He played almost the whole second half with four fouls. Allen, as much as I can’t stand him, does an awesome job of creating fouls. If that shot drops he’s a legend. As it stands he’s a very good player with issues
  24. He’d be higher than Laetner in my opinion.
  25. Barnhartt maybe but I'm realistic and know it can't truly be addressed. Just the Day after Blues talking. We may hate his system (I'm 50/50 on it) because it seems like he puts more emphasis on selling us that his guys go to the League after one year. But we could go back two previous coaches that had one title and no other final fours with a few regional final appearances sprinkled in. Still better by far than what we had post Pitino.
