For everyone saying the official should swallow the whistle in this instance. Would you argue the call on the first possession of the game? If its a foul then, its a foul on the last possession. I didnt think it a walk nor a foul.

Having only been spoken to by him once 17 years ago, I can't believe he's the type to bail. Didn't his teams get handled by CovCath his first few years? He was A Coach/teacher, and AD at a couple places prior as well. I like my job a lot, but as soon as the second comes, I'm running home.

This is coming from a unbiased fan of football. As was stated before. BG had been to the finals twice in the 90s. They've seem to exploded onto the finals scene since expansion. Belfry had some mild success prior to expansion, but look what they've done since. It was just a question out of curiosity. NewCath not having to play Beechwood or vice versa has certainly benefited both programs, Louisville Central would be another one. I don't know who BG and Belfry used to have to get by in the playoffs but since expansion those are the two teams that stand out to me as benefiting the most.

I'm going to say, to me that is a completely legit hit. The way it was being talked about I was assuming the guy went low on him. Hit him in the chest and was in the process of trying to make the hit when the ball was released.

What happened with Mayfield. Go without making the finals to, starting 17 years later, going to half of them? A little history lesson please. Also which program has benefited from class expansion more? Seems like a few, mainly Belfry and Bowling Green. Or was this going to happen regardless of expansion?

Newport Catholic has to be up there. Losers in 85 and 86, 2000 and 2001, and recently to DeSales and Mayfield. My years run together anymore

Why pay when you can. Pay $10 and watch all games from your couch? Unless your team is in it not many casual fans going regardless of what facility hosts. To my knowledge I never paid to park in Louisville. I like the setting at Western, totally superior to Papa John's and Commonwealth.

If he truly did (which I don't know) I believe he would've been adamantly discussing this with the officials before the Plainfield team lined up to kick. Perhaps intentional grounding never even crossed his mind.

So essentially the offense is being rewarded for committing a foul. I guess this is just one of the few loopholes that can be found in each sport. I mean if you see the film, once Plainfield saw a flag they were excited (like me, you and everyone else) thinking "well heck yes now we will get a chance to score". BG has been a highly respected program for a long, long time (don't know entire history). Has a program benefited more off of expansion than BG, or was this going to happen regardless? This is a question out of pure ignorance of talent levels, factors etc.

Even if we are alone, and I'm in the camp that there has to be something else out there, is it arrogant for us to believe aliens would want to waste their time and resources abducting us? Maybe they came and realized how (their thinking) backward and dumb we are, "they use paper to clean their butts" etc. maybe they're on an island like paradise of a planet saying "no thanks, I'll just chill here". As for traversing the universe, even if we can go light speed, I don't believe our bodies will be able to handle it. And if we just went normal speed, we'd have to sacrifice numerous generations of people just to reach the outer edge of our galaxy. Space is expanding at an insane amount of speed every second, so every second every galaxy is speeding away from each other that much more, making space travel that much more difficult

How many schools had/have study hall. I went to a private school coed. We didn't have study hall. I had that 4hrs after practice when I got home. Eat talk to my parents then homework either at the dinner table or in my room. Didn't have a job during the season but always had a job of some sort December through July.

I remember how bizarre it sounded when guys from other schools said the coaches would bring in donuts, or not care if you slept through films. Or better yet have saturdays off.

We never did sundays. Except once when we lost to a southern school in a bowl game our coach believed we should've won. Other than that one time it was : Monday: JV game/ varsity running and lifting after regular practice Tuesday: full gear practice/conditioning Wednesday:full gear/weights Thursday: helmets and shoulder pads walk through with film Friday game Saturday: run and weights. Watched film after. It was not optional. We were at school by 8 am and done by no later than 10:30. Guys that needed tended to for injuries were bussed off to physical therapy.

That would've been called in the first quarter. It's so far behind the play it's sick. As has been stated before, like it or not this is the correct call. Now what they signaled maybe wrong, but the main point of emphasis this year is eliminating these unnecessary hits. Within reason about 5yards near the ball carrier is all you're going to be allowed.
