Not Beechwood.

I think this will be the best defense Cov Cath will have faced, but will be a tall task for Beechwood. Cov Cath is loaded and well coached. Beechwood will show up and play hard. Will have to contain Casey and get pressure on the QB.

For there to be no running clock, Beechwood's linebackers and defensive backs will have to make a lot of good plays. Beechwood's defense had some trouble getting needed stops against Corbin and Covington Catholic's offense is better than Corbin's.

I don't know where these two schools are at with each other but the Beechwood powers that be need to wake up and cancel this series. It has served Beechwood well for a long time but CovCath is worlds beyond where they used to be and Beechwood can't line up against them.

I think the biggest problem for Beechwood last night, was not the lack of stopping the ball, but moving it. BW held Corbin scoreless until 2 minutes left in the first half. Beechwood struggled to move the chains and was on defense a ton. Would be interested to know how many plays Corbin ran vs. how many Beechwood ran.

You may be right but you can pretty much say that about everyone in NKY right now. I noticed Beechwood was rolling Cov Cath in the late 90’s, early 2000’s and then they didn’t play for a while. Anyone know why?

There were some incidents a few years back that stopped the series for awhile. And that is all we are going to discuss about that.

Beyond that, CovCath has their act together now. In the past it was more happenstance, but now it is several factors coming together making CCH great.

I am tired from suspending roughly 50 members, I may explain more later but it is easy to figure out.

Could not agree more. I hold my breath every year hoping the Tigers come out without injury. Colonels program is just too big a load for a single A school to regularly handle.

Didn't this Beechwood senior class beat the Colonels at the frosh level?

I hope not if you follow me. :idunno:

I don’t know the answer, but even if they did, it doesn’t matter. A lot changes from MS/freshman ball to varsity.
