Wow....

Massillon only led 17-0 at the end of the 1Q, and then went up 73-6 by the half. It was 94-6 at the end of the 3Q.

I guess that Massillon wanted to make a statement.

That is an unreal amount of scoring in three quarters. Especially with a running clock. We need more details. How do you get that many with a running clock?

Looking at the 2nd quarter stats on the stat sheet from halftime:

10:59 Massillon 46yd TD

9:43 Massillon 55yd punt return for TD

8:58 Massillon pick-6

6:32 Massillon 72yd TD

6:10 Sun Valley 81yd TD

5:52 Massillon 39yd TD

5:43 Massillon pick-6

2:55 Massillon 14yd TD

0:17 Massillon 43yd TD

 

Not including the punt return and the two pick-6s, Massillon's scoring plays averaged at 43 yards a piece. Doesn't eat up much clock when you have the majority of your plays gaining you almost half of the playing field each.

 

Still....that's absolute bananas.

May never happen; but, paybacks are sometimes pretty bitter to swallow.

Looks like it was the backup QB's only throw in the half...probably still not a good look.

Anyone know anything about Sun Valley (PA)? Should they even being playing in this game?
