Colonel Mike if u were doing radio last night I was right next to you and didn't even know it. I had my home state basketball to attend tonight. I might be there for the final on Tuesday, hopefully with the rest of Cat Nation (but after watching Collins I'm not holding my breath)!

I'm a rather newbie to Kentucky h.s. basketball but really liked when the 7th region was @ Bellarmine. In 2011 Eastern was playing J'town and tickets were sold out days before the actual game. Coming from Indiana this was unheard of, how could tickets go on sale days before the actual game. I called Eastern h.s. just to confirm what I already knew, the Secretary tells me "we're sold out." For some unknown stubbournes I drive over to Eastern h.s. around noon, I walk in and the principal or AD (not sure which) overheard me asking about tickets. Says he has 1 extra in his office that I could purchase. I did and attended a very loud and excited Eastern vs J'town final. Hundreds of ppl were standing @ the door wanting in just to catch a glimpse of the scoreboard. I should have played the lottery that day because I was very lucky.

Probably so, there were plenty of good seats available. Hit me up on here Wednesday and I'll come say whats up. Since I'm from across the river I'll adopt Gallatin as my team to root for since they're closest proximity to Indiana. Plus I have some buddies that work over @ NAS. Figured thats as good of a reason as any. Lol

I will be there Wednesday and Thursday and this is the game I'm most looking forward to. Gallatin is not a great team by any means, but are good and the Wilson kid can play. The 1 time I saw Williamstown was against Cov Cath way back in the beginning of the yr, so I expect them to be better. I'll be pulling for WV, being the small school vs South Oldham. S.O. has won enough the last few yrs

Gallatin Co. up 39-32 @ half. These teams are playing mostly on heart and pride. Pretty close to 2 even teams.

What a difference a year makes (and a Mr. Basketball). Owen's reign of district champs is over. I will be down there Saturday night for the final regardless of who's playing.

Gotta be honest, this was a brutal game to watch (especially the 1st quarter). The Miles kid has some potential, if they didn't have him on the boards and as a presence inside they'd have alot less wins. What grade is he in?
