Just watched that game online. Great game, loved watching both teams in the 2nd half. Raceland's RB looked like he was 5'8 170 lbs but ran like Jerome Bettis. Brossart looked good in the 2nd half. Say what you want about Brossart's schedule but that team was legit

I've met Coach Fowler several times and he did an excellent job at Owen County. Nice guy, great to talk with, you could tell the kids loved playing for him. I wish him all the best and can enjoy some much needed family time

It's possible that it could have been contracted from the turf, but this was a couple years ago and it's possible that it could have been contracted from another player, the bus, equipment, locker room. There are many possibilities and because of that, it wouldn't hold in court.

That week off might put Paris out of rhythm a bit, so I wouldn't be surprised if they started the game slow. I like Fairview's offense, but it plays right into Paris's speed, so they'll have to run the ball up the middle to keep Paris guessing. They've played a brutal schedule. 2 overtime losses to Colerain and Elder. Loss by a TD to Warren Central in Indianapolis, and loss on the road at Cleveland St. Ignatius

Even if you live in a different state, but go to school in KY, you can still play sports for that KY school

Then I'm back to square 1 cause the kid is an 8th grader. Every parent has their reasons for sending their kid where ever they want. Highlands is a great school, not arguing that one bit, but it's not perfect for everyone. If a coach at a private school (which recruits every student and their families in their building) says we can set this up so all parties are happy without crossing a line, then I don't see the problem. It sounds like you're saying the basketball program is doing something wrong

I think the Harbin system is intriguing. Last year in D1 Region 2 (Southern Ohio) top seed Centerville lost in the 1st round to Lakota West so it takes some of those 1st round advantages away. Not a big fan of the computers, but with over 700 schools playing football in Ohio, what else do you do?

Sounds like there are a lot of people at Highlands upset with this and I don't know why? Highlands is a great school, one of the best in the state (not better than Manual). Holy Cross is a great school too. Macke might be upset with Highlands about whatever and wants to send her kids to a school she'll like, so good for her and good for Highlands. That's less complaining at games, coaches have less distractions, everyone gets what they want. I don't see why this is a big deal?

Cincy St. X's offense is always a head scratcher. They have a tremendous O-line, good receivers, a good backfield and a good QB, but some of their play calling doesn't take advantage of their strengths. With that said, I think Cincy X pulls away in the 2nd half and wins convincingly

That kinda goes together, cause my guess is their kickoff coverage might be the same guys that don't have a lot of speed and struggle tackling. So if kick it deep to those skilled returners and they break a couple tackles, that could be a crushing special teams TD

I've seen Beechwood, Paintsville, Pikeville, Paris and a few other 1A teams play this year. Paris has a fast defense, but they'll struggle against a team that can run down the middle or has a physical line. Pikeville and Paintsville are both physical teams and one of them will represent the East. Beechwood is in a class of it's own though. Paintsville and Pikeville would have to catch Beechwood when they're sloppy

We're talking about 8th graders, it's not an issue. Maybe it was a basketball decision, maybe the family planned on sending her to HC and wanted her in one of their feeder schools. Point being, she's an 8th grader, her parents can send her wherever they want

These 2 teams have had some awesome battles between each other. 2008 playoff game, 2012 and 2013 regular season barn-burners. This game had 900+ yards of offense, what a great game. Hopefully, Xavier will be ok, but it sounds like his injury is going to keep him out the rest of the season. prayers that it's not that bad

I've been to Owensboro a few times. Other than the lights being in front of the stands, the fans are close and there's not a lot of open space around. Not the best in the state, but it is a neat place to watch a game

Colerain might end up with the #1 seed, have to face Moeller in round 1, most likely Elder in round 2, possibly St. Xavier in round 3, then probably an unbeaten Wayne in the state semis. Top seed advantages
