Since week 4 Cov Cath, BW 1st team has allowed 4 TD's and 36 points. 2 TD's to SK and 2 to KCD. They gave up another 4 TD's in their last 7 games with backups and the JV team.

I agree but if someone grabs you by the leg after the play you might react. It wasn't close to a fight but maybe the ref saw something else. The white hat struggled all night. I was worried about him.

NKY 6a has never won a state championship. They have some good football players but too many kids are cherry picked to other schools. As long as Scott County has no other schools for kids to move around, and as long as St X Louisville and Trinity can get kids from all over, it will be very difficult for NKY 6a schools to get over the hump. I believe Trinity freshman beat Male, St X Louisville and Elder by a combined score of 129-20 this year. Good luck competing with that in the future.

Was he on JV as a freshman? Didn't see him on the Cov Cath roster. Super talent though. Great athlete with a great future.

I like KCD and I think they can hang in with Beechwood. Beechwood strength is the defense in my opinion. In the last 6 games they have let up 41 points, 22 to 6a Simon Kenton who averages 46 per game. The other 19 was given up in the 4th QTR against mainly JV players. Beechwood will score so KCD will need to find a way to put up points against Beechwood. Only Cov Cath, Simon Kenton and Corbin have scored more than 14 points against Beechwood.

Common opponent was Frankfort. KCD 28-21, Beechwood 47-7, was 47-0 in the 2nd QTR

KCD in Louisville. Surprised Frankfort gave KCD such a fit during the regular season. Was Frankfort missing kids? They only had like 8 kids on the sideline and played the starters the entire game.

I believe since Cov Cath started the feeder program (kids that are now seniors were the first group i believe), they are now in a better place football wise, than they have ever been. They are pretty strong in all classes and I do not see that changing.

I think they should try regardless. Even if you lose, it's just a game to see where you stand and see where you need to improve. The Cov Cath JV has played Trinity the last two years and they also beat Scott County JV last year. I think with what they have and what they have at the younger levels, St. X Louisville would be a great game every year. Bowling Green plays St. X, Cov Cath would be a natural game in my opinion.

Dayton doesn't offer athletic ships for football. Academic? This kid should have some Full offers in my opinion.

Regardless of class beechwoods opponents are 47-20, cooper's 40-26. Beechwood has played the number one team in 3a, and 5a and top 5 in 6a. Take out holy cross and the oppenents record is 47-11, with Beechwood accounting for 6 of the 11 loses.

They are a 6a school. Beechwood is 1a and plays Lloyd, Somerset, Corbin, Covington Catholic, Simon Kenton and New Cath. They by far play the toughest overall schedule in NKY.

Ludlow is a decent team but they just don't have the numbers to compete with Beechwood. No shame. Beechwood is probably a top 8 school in the state, regardless of class. Tough for any 1a school to compete with them. Just look at what Lloyd did to New Cath tonight, and new Cath beat Christian academy of Louisville this year, Beechwood beat Lloyd pretty good. Then see Beechwood beat Corbin, who beat mayfield. On top of that beechwood showed they were right there with a top 5 6a school in Simon Kenton. Beechwood is the real deal and it will be tough for a 1a school to stay in it with them. Good luck to Ludlow. They are well coached and play hard.

The Cov Cath game was over early. Total stats are irrelevant.

My question for this game would be if anyone thinks Ludlow can score more points than Simon Kenton did against Beechwood? Only Cov Cath had their way with Beechwood's defense and Corbin's high powered offense managed 29. Beechwood let up 14 to Lloyd and has 3 shutouts. Ludlow will have to score a bunch to keep this game close in my opinion. Are they capable?

Yes they are. I don't think to this point that they had any injuries at all. They seem pretty deep. Only have a few players that are going both ways.

This is great... but do high school kids read and or know what a newspaper is?
