Yes and he is pretty athletic and has good speed. Should be a another good weapon for them.

Logan Castleman and Josh Derry should have big years. Entire offensive line will be seniors and will be a big line to create big holes. Defensive line will be all seniors as well. If they stay healthy Beechwood should have another big year.

Xavier was a 1 seed last year and plays in one of the best conferences in the country, and one of its members has won 2 of the last 3 national championships. Xavier is a huge offer for Dontaie. I think they would be a great opportunity for him.

The Junior and senior class at Beechwood is very strong. Return most of the offense and defensive lines and a 4 year starter at safety. QB will be a question mark but running game will be very solid. Every starter on d-line will be at least 6’3 and +215. Adam Derry is 6’3” 270.

He may play outside linebacker if they go another route at QB, but he is their best QB and athlete at that position right now. But they may want to groom someone else and have for a few years. I hope he gets the chance because he would be fun to watch. He seems like a risk taker and pretty confident kid.

Yes he can play. Not a pro style QB but sees the field well and makes plays. Saw him at a camp in Lexington, QB from Boyle was there and in my opinion Tyler was best QB at the camp. Tyler is a strong kid and is about 6’0” 180. Too bad he is not a few inches taller.

Again Miami is a great school and a good opportunity. I am sure if he chose to wait he would still have opportunities. He can’t sign until November at the earliest. Some kids won’t sign until 2019. If he thinks Miami is his best opportunity, go for it.

I bet he ends up at Louisville.

I think Josh Derry will have a big year for Beechwood. He is tough and strong as an OX. Really just started lifting and heard he is getting big and strong. He is a football player.

Doesn’t seem like KY recruits KY very hard. Most of their roster is kids from Michigan, Ohio, Georgia and Florida.

I agree that Miami is a fine spot but The big time schools are not done with 2019, they just had a ton of guys commit in the last two months for 2018. I know a lot of kids won’t commit until the fall. But either way it’s a good spot for him and a great school.

That offer would be there. Just see how camps and your season goes and maybe you would have more options. But Miami is a good spot regardless.

Highlands was generous. Beechwood is getting better. They have one senior, 3 sophomores, 8 freshman and 3 eight graders on the JV/varsity. They will get better.

Beechwood does not do it. Too many kids play baseball and run track and they just don’t have enough. Off season weights and conditiong are in full swing and then as it gets warmer they will get out and do some football stuff. They also start summer ball much earlier than a lot of schools.

Maybe he has a parent that lives in Scott County. Maybe he has always gone to school down their. Maybe it’s just a much better opportunity for him. There are kids all over the state that don’t play or go to school where they live.

No senior. His brother will be a junior. He is 6’3” 270. Pretty athletic, and strong. Started both ways as a sophomore and junior. First team all NKY both years and honorable mention all state this year.
