The 6'3 295 center Carter Black received an offer from Union College.

Carter Black - Hudl

I am surprised Miami Ohio hasn't offered him.

CovCath QB Tyler Reusch also received an offer from Union College.

As a QB?

Congrats. The first of many offers for both.

Union College was busy in NKY on that day, April 30 (the day they offered SK players and Cov Cath center). They also offered a couple of players from Lloyd and one from Boone.

As a QB?

Yes he can play. Not a pro style QB but sees the field well and makes plays. Saw him at a camp in Lexington, QB from Boyle was there and in my opinion Tyler was best QB at the camp. Tyler is a strong kid and is about 6’0” 180. Too bad he is not a few inches taller.

Good to hear. It seems like people think he will play a different position this year. I look forward to checking him out.

Who from Boone and Lloyd?

He may play outside linebacker if they go another route at QB, but he is their best QB and athlete at that position right now. But they may want to groom someone else and have for a few years. I hope he gets the chance because he would be fun to watch. He seems like a risk taker and pretty confident kid.

Who from Boone and Lloyd?

Sorry for hijacking the thread, esp. since its a thread about one H.S. player's offer. I just thought it interesting how many of the local players were getting offered by Union. It will make them fun to watch later, if several of those players accept the offer and play there.

To answer the question, I am more certain about the Boone player, MLB/FB John Mark Shutt. Someone told me they saw a twitter post saying that Lloyd's Travon Mason (RB) and John Williams (LB) also received offers. Seems Union is trying to add LBs to the roster (given the earlier reports of players offered).

Congratulations to Cov Cath's Carter Black. He deserves the focus in this thread.

Morehead State offered this past Saturday.

The kid can GO...nobody catches him once he gets past the line of scrimmage.

And Carter isn’t done with offers
