I agree but trinity and Cov Cath are just on a different level.

The shame of it is Beechwood was dominating and then a fumble and a questionable call on a pick 6 has them down 10-7. If a 1a school can overcome that, that will show a lot. How they react to adversity will go a long way this year.

You are correct and Beechwood has 5. But 2 receivers for SK account for 60% of receiving yards and 70% of TD's caught. Both Hayden and Murray are very talented and fast and Beechwood will have to contain both if they are to win.

Beechwood opponents are 18-10 this year, 18-4 minus holy cross. 3 of the 4 losses to BW. Take BW out and they are 17-1. SK opponents are 11-22...

What? They have 5 kids with 5 or more receptions on the year. Two kids gets the most looks in designed plays. Beechwood has 6 with 5 or more catches.

I have great respect for SK and the coach has done a good job and they have some great kids, but what constitutes a 6a powerhouse that Would make SK one? I think of powerhouse as making deep playoff runs and consistently getting to the finals or semi finals of your state classification. For example Beechwood, Mayfield, New Cath, Bowling Green, Highlands, Louisville St X, Trinity and Scott county to name a few, would fit powerhouse level for their classifications based on history. Now granted SK is a huge school and has many more numbers in the program that would lead most to think they should blow BW out, but I think their close games with Connor (who although was a scrimmage) was not close to BW and then a very average highlands team should have won last week at SK, leads me to believe that this will be a very competitive game that either school could win.

I guess a lot of people will be wrong...the more i look at this, I just can't see BW losing this game. I think Noel wins the coaching battle and BW at the end of the day has more talent, but less numbers.

Simon Kenton is young on defense. My guess is BW scores a few TD's. Don't be fooled by the Cov Cath score. Not a knock on SK but they are not Cov Cath. BW wins 35-28

Moore will win it and Moore will also get a ring. Not sure any team in KY has a chance at Trinity.

I agree with this. I think at the end of the day Paintsville and Beechwood will play for the championship. But a lot can happen and both teams will need to stay healthy as well.

Stats don't nearly tell the story. Not going to get into the differences with you on here, but a lot more goes into it then stats and I will leave it at that.

Corbin does not play anyone both ways and they handled that. Beechwood only has a few that play both ways regularly. Derry, Castleman, Massie and Heist mostly, but they spell everyone. It will be tough but I wouldn't be shocked with a BW win.

So Cov Cath put a running clock in first half on Lex Cath and won 49-2 and Highlands is now ready for them? OK.

Next year beechwood plays Corbin, SK, Cov Cath, holy cross and new Cath on the road as well as 2 district games. So 7 road games at this point. Just how the schedule worked out.

They play every year. Do you only schedule them when thy are good? Why does SK play Bryan Station, Meade County and Beechwood but not Cov Cath or Trinity or St. X Cincy? My guess is they need wins for the banquet.

Who should they play? They already beat corbin, top 3a school, played Cov Cath top 5a school, played Lloyd who is doing well as a 2 a school, somerset who is having a very good year and 6a Simon Kenton. And they also play new Cath. They have quite the schedule for a 1a school.

Holy Cross was in the semi finals of 2a last year. Beechwood is a 1a school. Why not? Good luck next week.

Kids currently at SK, yes they do. I think SK has 2 or 3 offensive lineman that would start, probably the QB, 2 receivers, 1 defensive lineman and maybe a linebacker. That's about it. Beechwood has 3 corners and a safety that are three starters. Don't be fooled by what happened with Cov Cath and beechwood.

Ok. Cov Cath is the 2nd best team in the state.

Why? Because Cov Cath killed BW? Beechwood is better than Highlands. I watched simon Kenton last week. I was not impressed. Simon Kenton does not have many kids that would start at Beechwood, especially on defense.

Beechwood will beat SK next week, so there's that.
