John Hardin 14 Central Hardin 7
Big Saucy replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Football (High School)
Amen. Mr know nothing. The personal foul penalties were hustle plays. Coaches can deal with those fouls. The late hit penalty on the QB was an awful call on the last INT. I had a bird eye view on that play. Coach Lewis received one of those penalties. He is normally very mild mannered. That was a little uncharacteristic of him. He might have been trying to fire his team up. Coaches sometimes do this to challenge their teams. I thought John physically took it to the Bruins. -

There are exceptions each year. Belfry has 4 d/1 lineman and the have a special group. -

Hardin County preps.... Your well coached and highly disciplined Bruins shot themselves in the foot on Friday. They lost to a "poorly coached and undisciplined" team in your words. The disciplined Bruins had 12 players on the field late in the game during a crucial punt return that gave John a big first down. I bet Mattingly coaches that.... As we all know that's not true. Sometimes it's on the kids and not the coaches is my point here. Mattingly is a great coach, but kids wil be kids and they make mistakes. I saw both teams fumble several times. I doubt Mattingly or Lewis coach fumbles. I bet they coach ball security. The flags were one sided completely. John was flagged for several holding penalties. You could call holding every play, but the flags seemed to fly on big plays for John. With all of this being said, Central Hardin should NEVER lose to a team with 900 kids in the school. -
John Hardin 69 Warren Central 0

I talked to a coach and he said they were taking knees with 5:30 left in the 4th quarter. Everybody started playing in the second quarter. It's awful what the school district has done to this school. BG might score a 100 and can't keep from it. -
Is a change needed at John Hardin?
Big Saucy replied to Hardin County Preps's topic in KY Football (High School)
Dog nation seems to blame others quickly, but he has alterior motives I'm sure. I bet Coach Lewis never talks to his team about personal fouls etc.. Lol. That's asinine to even think that any coach doesn't talk to his team about unsportsmanlike penalties. At some point players have to take some responsibility for their actions. -

Middle school ball doesn't correlate because of the variables mentioned. -

Why do you think Mark Brown left, yet continues to still coach. He wasn't going to leave a juggernaut at John to take over at Elizabethtown. It just wasn't happening. On paper Central should beat John every year. 6A school vs 4A school. 1900 students vs 900 students. It's the exact same reason why Etown quit playing Central. They couldn't compete with them due to school size. Mark Brown is smart enough to realize that too. He didn't pick Central back up for the next 2 years from my sources. If John Hardin continues to drop in enrollment I bet coach Lewis will drop both 6A schools too. John Hardin has a great staff imo. 2 former head coaches on Coach Lewis current staff and I think some of his assistants have been around a long time. Some of the assistants were actually under coach brown too. Everyone has their opinions, but Hardin County Preps has it out for Coach Lewis. Lol. He bashes him every chance he gets. We like to call these people behind the computer screen heroes! -
My source told me Namvong was messing with stuff he shouldn't have been outside school. He has been suspended.

North Hardin 25 John Hardin 10

I was at the Central game, but I heard John had 6 turnovers. Most teams can't over come that against anybody. They might have been fortunate to only lose by 2 Tds. -
Marion County at Elizabethtown predictions
Big Saucy replied to CATonFIRE76's topic in KY Football (High School)
I'm going to give the nod to Etown as well. I think they beat Marion because it's hard to guage Marion's win versus Nelson. Nelson might just be that bad. I think 54 points is fools gold for the Knights. Now if they beat Etown that will hold more value for me. I'm going with the Panthers in this one. -
East Jessamine 20 Elizabethtown 15
Big Saucy replied to LVGambla32's topic in KY Football (High School)
This is a shocking score to me. I am not sure what to think in this one. Good win by East Jessamine. I hope for a speedy recovery to the young man who broke his leg. -
3A #5 Caldwell County at 5A #3 Christian County

Christian county will be too much for the Tigers. Speed and overall athleticism will be the difference this time. -
3A #4 Boyle County vs. 6A North Hardin (at Mercer County)
Big Saucy replied to gchs_uk9's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think North Hardin pulls the upset in this one. I might be wrong, but it might not be an upset. They very well could have the best team. North has a very seasoned Qb who will give many teams fits. North wins 35-28. -
4A #4 John Hardin vs. 5A #1 Bowling Green at WKU (8/20)
Big Saucy replied to DragonFire's topic in KY Football (High School)
I just can't see John Hardin keeping it competitive. Too much talent for BG. I bet X has the only chance of beating them this year on their schedule. I think John Hardin could and will have a good year, but BG it just freight train. One thing I will give John Hardin is they haven't avoided playing big boys the past couple years in openers. South Warren and now Bowling Green. Someone mentioned a slow start the past couple years. I think all teams would start slow playing these giants. Ouch.- 17 replies

article Bluegrasspreps' 2016 Class 4A Pre-Season Preview
Big Saucy replied to DragonFire's topic in KY Football (High School)
Hardin county preps sorry to tell you but South Warren has the BEST talent in 4A. They have several d-1 kids who have been already offered. I think their talent speaks for itself. I haven't heard of any John Hardin kids with d-1 offers. I wouldn't make comments like that if they aren't true. I'm sure they have good talent, but South Warren is on a different level.- 21 replies

BG will be too much especially since someone said John Hardin is breaking in a new QB. That's not a good combination playing a veteran team like the purples. I would guess 42-7.

Bowling Green is on FIRE this summer!!!!
Big Saucy replied to Louisville_Cards's topic in KY Football (High School)
BG is loaded with talent. I'm not sure anyone could screw this squad up from not winning a state title. All they have to do is show up. Must be nice -
I am not sure what all they lost or didn't lose but I do know they have an outstanding Qb returning. I watched him play two times last year against John and Etown. The kid can really play. He made some nice throws and runs in both of these games. Great player.

Open Job: Louisville Valley (Re-Opened)
Big Saucy replied to villecoach's topic in KY Football (High School)
Why would Nelson hire him when he wasn't coaching there last year and he left them late in the year for another job? Don't think there is ANY chance that will happen. My question is what happened for him to leave all of a sudden? He was only there on the job for a couple months i think. Strange. -
Yes. It's Crad Jaggers. He is currently at Nelson, but he did not coach last year to my knowledge.

I would like to see Etown play both Central and John. Etown might lose, but it would be good for the community. I was glad to see us schedule North again. -

We have some good players returning. Swank, Becherer, and Bridges are a few of our key returners. Durbin will probably take over at the quarterback position. Derek Smith is a junior and should carry a big load at RB. Smith had a solid year at the JV level. Becherer will be in the backfield as well and he can fly. We have some solid pieces returning, but I will be the first to admit we lost several major contributors. -

We had a great year. 13-1 is outstanding, but schedule was white powder soft. I don't disagree with that for sure. Caldwell Co and PT were our best wins. Next year we should be ok again I believe because the schedule is the same. I am not sure if we play West Jessamine again because it was a bowl game. Let's hope we play someone more competitive. We lost 18-19 seniors and the majority of them played major roles. Semi finals was a great year! -
Male at Central Hardin Predictions
Big Saucy replied to Hardin County Preps's topic in KY Football (High School)
Central doesn't have the athletes to make it a game. You will see. They have good athletes, but not MALE athletes. Unfortunately there is a big difference.
