Agreed...doesn't look good for the Bruins headed for BG. This game should have been worse...JH had 5 turnovers and alot of penalty yards

Good, much needed win for John. The first half they finally looked like a team and not 11 individuals on the field at the same time. They blocked well and played very good defense. They did have three turnovers in the first half, but the defense didn't let them score. The second half was a different story for the offense. Another turnover and so many holding penalties it was ridiculous. The defense continued playing good though and got the game winning interception to seal it.

 

Very good end result and the team is starting to "get it."

Hardin County preps.... Your well coached and highly disciplined Bruins shot themselves in the foot on Friday. They lost to a "poorly coached and undisciplined" team in your words. The disciplined Bruins had 12 players on the field late in the game during a crucial punt return that gave John a big first down. I bet Mattingly coaches that.... As we all know that's not true. Sometimes it's on the kids and not the coaches is my point here. Mattingly is a great coach, but kids wil be kids and they make mistakes. I saw both teams fumble several times. I doubt Mattingly or Lewis coach fumbles. I bet they coach ball security. The flags were one sided completely. John was flagged for several holding penalties. You could call holding every play, but the flags seemed to fly on big plays for John. With all of this being said, Central Hardin should NEVER lose to a team with 900 kids in the school.

There are exceptions each year. Belfry has 4 d/1 lineman and the have a special group.

I doubt it Purple...John had numerous penalties...they tried on numerous occasions to give that game away...and the offensive play calling is just out of sync...BUT it did seem like the kids were in it TOGETHER AS ONE, and the defense was lights out..... big win for Lewis and the team

I said earlier that this team will get better each week. It looks like they are and should only continue to. I also said I wouldn't want to see this team in November and I still feel that way as well.

The first amendment and the right to articulate my opinions and ideas without reprisal (and you know what I mean), are what make this country great. Why should coaches be any different when it comes to job performance and expectations. They aren't volunteers, but are in a paid position with certain expectations.

Eleven penalties for 106 yards and four personal foul penalties on John, is only the fault of the players? The coaches influence on his team has no effect on how players act and perform??? I also witnessed John players bad mouthing Central players and coaches after the players shook hand and were walking away. Class act?

Very comical to me on how you justify the continual bashing of a coach on this website. Don't quite understand why you do it unless it's a personal thing for you and the local coaches. Yes you have the legal right due to the constitution but you seem to be locked in on just a certain few coaches
