Horrific transition defense if they are giving up that many points because she gets the rebound and beats everyone down the floor. I've seen her play once and she wasn't a super athlete that could leap full courts in a single bound.

I know Jenkins isn't loaded with talent. You can tell that by looking at their record, schedule, and Creech's numbers. I just don't understand why some of these teams that have lost to Jenkins didn't try some junk defense to keep her at least under 20 points. I saw one coach several years ago run a 1-1-3 chaser that also doubled the star player on every catch. They used against teams that were heavily reliant on their star player and struggled once they were taken out of their game. It kept said team in the game when they otherwise shouldn't have been. I know the girl has talent, not Erin Boley level talent but still a legitamate D1 player, but someone's scheme needs some work if you routinely allow someone to score 50+ every game.

Your reference to a euro step caught my attention. A euro step is no different than taking your 2 steps toward a normal layup. The euro step is simply using misdirection on those 2 steps. It looks weird to the untrained eye is the only reason it is assumed to be a walk.

Yes it happens a lot but I think what caused the ruling is that she went to Christian County as a freshman, UHA as a sophomore, and is now at Hoptown as a junior. Honestly, I hope they stand by the ruling so some of this stuff stops. If they are going to allow kids to jump from school to school without moving then there might as well be no transfer rules at all.

She transferred from UHA to Hoptown without a change of address. The main problem with that is that she lives in Christian County's district and I believe she started out at Christian County.

Surely you're not serious about them only winning 4 or 5 games. The kids they have coming back from last season are still good enough to hold off Union County to get to region and have a winning season.

First off it is "you're" not "your" and you never said he was a freshman. Everyone keeps talking about the sophomore class. I saw them as freshmen last year. They are really good but like I said from the beginning they are a year away. I don't know how much stock I would put in a freshman with eligibility concerns that didn't play on a high school team last year.

I'm pretty sure I have. I saw all three of their teams play last year. I stand by my statement, they are a year away.

I have seen Henderson and I can't even see them sneaking into number 2. I have hard time even seeing them challenge Trigg County for number 3. Henderson is still a year away. They will finish somewhere in the 4-8 range.

Chris Jung reported a few days ago that Davis was ruled ineligible for Hopkinsville. Does anyone know any updates on the situation? That is a huge blow for a very talented young lady.

He's not even in the debate for best player on his own team. If you want to make the argument for him in the top 10 I can see that, but to market him as arguably the best player is obsurd.

Yes, the odds definitely favor an all 8th district finals. I would not count out Trigg County just yet though. They finished up very strong last year and added a nice big man to their roster this summer. County and Hoptown are definitely the favorites but Trigg has a good chance too.

As opposed to Union County? I am just happy that it is close to a restaurant period and not in the middle of nowhere. Madisonville is definitely better than Morganfield.

I don't think it's an exact enrollment number. I think it is the bottom X number of schools but I could be wrong.

Caldwell County didn't lose anyone to those schools this year. Blue Paducah hasn't done his research. Their enrollment dropped back down to get them back into the Class A. They weren't Class A last season.

3rd coach in 3 years with the program in rebuild mode. I think they will get back to a region power again but it willl take some time.

Agree with most of what has been said. It is Murray region to lose.

They have a good chance of winning the region again. That point guard is a special player and Mike Harper gets the most out of his kids.
