These are spot on, could argue about whether Jaylen should be #1, but I think Tyrik has earned that spot.

 

I will say don't be surprised to see 2017 Henderson County G Rob Dawson have a big year and end up top 10 by season's end.

No way Henderson is number 6!! You guys are going to be surprised.

I know the top 6 are right with maybe shuffling a few teams here and there. The only surprise to me when I read the top 10 was Hopkins County Central at number 10. They were very up and down last season. They would beat a good team one night and lose to a bad team the next. I know they had several seniors and lost their best returning player to Madisonville-North Hopkins. Surely there is a better team in the region to put in the number 10 spot.

Yes, the odds definitely favor an all 8th district finals. I would not count out Trigg County just yet though. They finished up very strong last year and added a nice big man to their roster this summer. County and Hoptown are definitely the favorites but Trigg has a good chance too.

I know summer games don't mean as much as a real game but of the summer henderson killed madisonville with out two staters and a key bench player. No way they are number 6. I would say a tie with trigg for third.

Is Coach Smith at CCHS the real deal? If he is he has the talent to take the Colonels to the next level as they are loaded.

From what I hear he is the real deal and is very aware that they are loaded they could very well have the best starting 5 and bench in the region ... Loaded with shooters and adding sebree puts them in discussion for state

He is going to do very well at CCHS. He's got a great basketball mind and is an excellent manager of egos. Christian County made a home run hire.

Trigg County is too high. They have always had trouble beating Henderson County. I would rank Henderson third. Caldwell and Trigg are interchangible at fourth. Madisonville lost the surrounding cast with Eaves

 

I would take Davenport at Trigg County, Brennan Parish at Madisonville, Hopkinsville's Kourtney Ware, and Dee Cain at Caldwell (if he plays) ahead of Wilkerson on the player list

He's not even in the debate for best player on his own team. If you want to make the argument for him in the top 10 I can see that, but to market him as arguably the best player is obsurd.

Agreed...Shorty is a great player, and he is only a sophomore, so he has a lot of potential. But he is no where near the best player in the region.

Have to agree also Shorty is good but has along way to go to be best in region.
