  1. Adair gets the Campbellsville monkey off their back after losing first round to them 3 years straight. Indians controlled this one from the start and played a very good defensive and efficient game despite being a team who averages 68 ppg.
  2. When the 5th Region is played at the Roby Dome at Marion County it has some crazy atmospheres. Lighting is dim everywhere besides the court and just it being a dome makes for a unique experience
  3. Big road win for the Indians tonight as they win on a steal and game winning layup by sophomore Connor Loy who led the way with 31 points.
  4. Indians head into Christmas on a 3 game win streak with a win over a solid Monroe County team. Sophomore point guard Connor Loy led the way for the Indians recording a triple double with 21 points 10 rebounds and 10 assist.
  5. Indians improve to 3-0 with a hard fought win over rival Green County after having an early 17-7 deficit. Sophomore Connor Loy had a career high 35 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assist to lead the Indians. Sophomore Hayden Blakeman led Green County with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Both of these teams are stacked with sophomores so this should be a good one to watch the next couple of years from two of the youngest teams in the region.
  6. Indians should be good and are sophomore heavy with only 2 seniors. But Boyle missed a lot of football guys.
  7. Indians win the opener over Boyle County. Sophomore Connor Loy had 26 points to lead the Indians giving him 1000 for his career.
  8. Connor Loy, Adair County, 5th Region Averaged 14.9 last season. 974 career points so far.
  9. Thought I would add a list of the top ten players in the region. These are in no particular order either: Brett Decker, 6'1 JR (Central Hardin)- has multiple D1 offers, best player in the region most likely and will Central a chance at a region title. Jacob Fredrickson 6'7 SR (Central Hardin)- Forms a great duo with Decker and is an inside/outside threat. Ayden Evans 6'8 JR (Etown)- Has some high major D1 looks and offers. Will be the go to man for Etown this season after graduation of Alandre Murphy. Casey Steadmon 6'4 SR (Bethlehem)- Averaged 18 ppg last season, very athletic. Will give Bethlehem a chance to make the region tournament again. Meek Ater 6'9 SR (Caverna)- averaged 13 and 11 last season. Looked vastly improved in the summer, and will be a load inside this season. Carson Childress 6'0 SR (Larue County)- The lefty averaged 15 ppg last season, hitting 87 threes at a 39% clip. One of if not the best shooter in the region. Hayden Blakeman 6'4 Soph (Green County)- Averaged 18 ppg last season, versatile player that can play inside and out. Connor Loy 5'11 Soph (Adair County)- Loy has been starting varsity since his 7th grade year and averaged 15 ppg as a freshman. One of the best ball handlers in the region he will be the go to guy for the Indians now. Taveon Smith 6'1 JR (North Hardin)- Smith can score in bunches. Athletic and long armed player, that can create his own shot. Beau Baker 6'7 JR (Washington County)- One of the best bigs in the region. The 3 sport athlete averaged near a double double last season and will try to lead Washington on a deep tournament run. Honorable Mentions: Layken Lyons 6'1 Soph (Taylor County)- averaged 15 ppg last year and will be the go to guy with Guffey injured with a torn ACL Riley Brown 6'2 JR (Washington County)- versatile player who moved over from Thomas Nelson. Averaged double figures last season
  10. 5th Region is very wide open this year. Central Hardin is for sure the favorite. After that would not shock me if anyone ranked 2-12 beat each other on any given night.
  11. Today the matchups for this Holiday tournament were announced. On the left side of the bracket the games are as follows: North Laurel vs Campbell County West Jessamine vs North Oldham Warren Central vs Madison Central Bracken County vs Mason County Right Side of the bracket games are as follows: Bowling Green vs Fern Creek Lexington Catholic vs Christian Academy of Louisville Lyon County vs Covington Holy Cross Woodford County vs Ballard
  12. Adair has a new AD who used to be assistant AD for 20 years at WKU. He will do his best to make sure they get a good coach and has connections. Have heard a former Lindsey Wilson football player/assistant coach with some interest, as well as even a possible 3A coach currently at another school. The coach at another school would be a big time hire.

  16. Who will be the best players in this? I know should be a few high level D1 kids such as Reed Sheppard, Jacob Meyer, and Xavier Booker from Cathedral.
  17. Very possibly makes them state favorites next season with Noah, Sheppard, Davidson and Sizemore.

Adair County Champmanville WV East Ridge Fern Creek Gamble Ohio Garrard County Great Crossing Harlan County Henry Clay Indian Hill HS (Cincinnati) Lexington Catholic Lexington Christian Lincoln County Madison Central Mason County Pike Co. Central Pulaski County Russell County Sayre Scott County Tates Creek Woodford County
  19. Barker has been a coach for 37 years, with his most recent stop at Green County where they finished 10-17 last season. Before that Barker coached at Apollo and led them to a state tournament appearance. He also was head coach for 2 colleges in Georgia.
  20. Had heard former Tennessee Tech head coach and Russell County native Steve Payne was a candidate but has turned down the position.
  21. Miles comes from Murray where he was boys middle school coach.
  22. This is once again open after hearing the coach that was hired has taken an assistant coach position elsewhere.
  23. Yes assistant at Taylor now. Sounds like rumors of a good payday as well.
